What Do You Think of GL Pease Quiet Nights?

I just got my first tin based on a recommendation and it's fantastic. Granted, I haven't been smoking long, but I'd put it in the top three of the tobaccos I have tasted.

Favorite Esoterica Blends - Besides Penzance

Haven't tried many of the blends, but I gotta say, I very much enjoy Pembroke. I was lucky enough to hit a friend's bowl of St Ives once, but never smoked a full bowl of it, although, I lived what I had. I have a bowl or two of Stonehaven from a lovely forum member that I'm going to enjoy as...

What Was Your Best Bowl This Week?

This week, I'd have to say a bowl of Germains Royal Jersey w/Latakia out of a freshly cleaned Kaywoodie Birkshire.

    Salisbury Pipes?

I recently purchased a lot of estate pipes to restore and among them was a Salisbury, which I can find nothing about on the internet. Does anyone have any information on this company? I have no idea of the quality or worth of this pipe.

    LUNTING?

I generally use smoking a pipe as my sole reprieve from an otherwise incredibly busy life, so if I'm gonna be smoking, I'm gonna be sitting down with a beer.

    B&M Tobacco Prices - Observational

My B&M has comparable prices to internet, maybe $3-$4 more expensive sometimes, but I'm not paying shipping and they have more difficult to find products like Esoterica, SG, and Sobranie, so it often comes out in the wash for me. All in all, I'd say it's cheaper to buy from my B&M and the...

What Are You Listening to (March 2020)

A folkish band called Cassino that I've listened to for 15 years or so just put out a new album on Friday, so I've been listening to that. The album is called Yellowhammer.

    A Few New Blends

That's one I've been on the fence about checking out. So many other former Dunhill blends I'm curious about as well.

***What Are You Smoking? March 2020***

Had a bowl of Planta with Syrian Latakia, a bowl of Sutliff 515 Red Virginia, and a bowl of Sutliff Barbados Plantation out of the cob today, a day late because I didn't take my cob to work yesterday. It was a good day for smokes, as I greatly enjoyed every one of them.

Quick Way to Rub Out Flakes

I bet I have one of those laying around somewhere. Never would have thought to use it for tobacco.

    What is a Pipe Club?

I believe it was Jesus who said a pipe club is anywhere that two or more pipers pipe together. Or maybe I'm thinking about something else. Whatever.

    C&D XX Flake Dark Review

Thank you for the review. Now I can justify buying a tin of it. Someone please review the other one, while we're at it!

A Reminder To Regularly Check Your Accounts

I got charged for over 2 years a monthly bill of $15 for Audible Audiobooks, which I never signed up for or used. Eventually I called the fraud department and got a refund for all the charges, but it was wild to know they had done it for so long. Another time, while on vacation, my wallet got...

    Greetings from Shelby, North Carolina!

Shew, I'd love to join you guys but I'm not sure my wife or my wallet would allow it. I'll see if I can't squirrel away some money and try and work it out anyway, though. Perhaps I'll just have to drive separate and dip out early.

    Re-Purposed For Pipe Stuff

This is a good thread! Now I have some ideas for an affordable pipe stand!

Do You Buy In Bulk Over Tins When Available?

I like the aesthetic of a tin, as well as the knowledge that it's only 2 oz and generally only costs around $15(ish), so it's a good way to try out new blends for me, as a new pipe smoker. That said, when I find something I like enough to make into a regular smoke, I'd certainly buy bulk.

Wood at the Bottom of Missouri Meerschaum Bowls

I just looked at my MM and realized I must have burned away the wooden shank within my first month of smoking, because there's nary a trace of it there now. Still very much enjoyed it, too.
