How Often does Your Favorite Tobacco Change?

I'm right there with you. I'm a newer pipe smoker myself and every day something new that I try becomes my favorite. I just popped a tin of Old Joe Krantz last night and thought, yep, this is it, after saying the same thing only hours earlier after my very first bowl of Chelsea Morning...

    The Dedicated Pipe Dilemma

Thanks for the reply! Yea, looking back, I should've rephrased my post to mean genres and not specific blends. I do have a MM in addition to a couple more on the way!

    The Dedicated Pipe Dilemma

Thanks so much for the detailed reply. I realize looking back at my post, that's how I should've worded it, GENRES instead of BLENDS. Your method of lumping your pipes together sounds like what I'm wanting to do currently. Thanks again for all of your insight. This is such an incredible...

Knowing When to Quit a Bowl

This is has been my experience so far as a new pipe smoker. Good to know that I need to learn to just let it go. Most of the dreaded tongue bite that I've experienced is usually at this point in my smoke. Good advice.

    The Dedicated Pipe Dilemma

I have a savinelli 673 and a MM Legend. The Savinelli has seen nothing but English blends since I got it last week. Do most of you find it necessary to dedicate a certain pipe to specific blends? Will the flavor of the old dark Birdseye I just got be diminished if smoked from the Sav? I guess...

    Dear English blend lovers,

I gotta tell ya, I just got that old dark Birdseye in and am working through my first bowl. WOW! This stuff is great and exactly what I was looking for. Its pretty stout indeed and has a great flavor a bit of spice and the room note is fantastic. This is a very welcome break from all the lat...

Relights - Maybe it’s just me

This is a great tip and one that has helped me immensely. As a newer pipe smoker I'm finding I'm definitely having fewer relights as I progress.

    "Cigar" Type in Pipe Blends

If I'm not mistaken, I believe the C&D one is PA broadleaf, one of my favorite wrappers on a cigar.

  18. JRW11b

    Dear English blend lovers,

I absolutely LOVE the idea of blending my own. Thats a rabbit hole I'm positive I will be living in sometime in the near future.
  19. JRW11b

    Dear English blend lovers,

I've got some Dark Birdseye as well as some HH Old Dark Fired incoming in a day or so, I'm pretty excited about that.

    Dear English blend lovers,

Thanks for the detailed reply. I'm coming to pipe smoking as a pretty avid cigar smoker of pretty heavy duty maduro cigars, smoking at least 2 a day. I'm def not afraid of a good nic hit. I've been eyeing that OJK for a while now, so thanks for that suggestion. Also, congrats on kicking that cig...
