Going to spend a little more time on the Grabow Today. A little late but kind of a before picture of the stem.
I had spent time with the magic eraser already before I remembered to take these. We will see what the Flitz does for it today. Will update.. I'm hoping to have a bowl in this one...
I'm enjoying one of my favorites, Maltese Falcon in the Blakemar. In the warmth of my farm truck and having a Budweiser.
Been trying to figure out the age of the Grabow on the sights mentioned earlier in this thread. I'm thinking early 60's but not sure..still searching!
The Blakemar is smoking...
I have very recently began to explore this subject OP. I have been using magic eraser, Flitz polish and wax, all ideas learned about from this forum. Working well enough for me so far.
I think some are using toothpaste and some are using oxiclean or bleach baths. I have not tried those as I...
I'm having my first bowl in the bent. I chose CD Opening Night. It's cold, rainy and drab out here today but I had a nice late breakfast and am staying warm with my Comfort Zone heater.
I'm planning to try out the Blakemar later this afternoon. Not sure what I will pack it with just yet.

Thank You much! I will check out that sight.
Ha ha, I have been thinking about looking in antique shops for future projects. I am really having fun and it's been great practice for being patient...for me anyway.

I do see a "Sherwood.. Select Briar" on one side and a number on the bottom of the mortise..232...
I could be a picky soul but am of mind to move ahead with two of the three. I can't wait to share a bowl with my new friends after all.
This one I don't know much about other than it has England stamped pretty clearly and what looks like " Made London" very faint above the England stamp. It has...
Agree. I have decided that no matter if the drilling is off or the bowl treatment is a bother I am going to keep and use this pipe. It seems to smoke alright and I love the look. It's also comfortable to me.
Okay, yeah I burnt the rim. There, now thats out there, here you go. Does that drilling look off center to you?
I have been doing the hot water flush with this pipe by the way. I think I have almost conquered the gunk.
Doctors are focused on Covid as if nothing else exist seems like. I had a recent illness and it was immediate they tested for Covid, reasonable..but didn't even try to help me figure out what was causing my symptoms! ( After negative Covid test)
I hope you continue to improve Sir.
