    Butternut Burley Available @ 4Noggins

I don't know if it's Scotty's or not, but the description is. From P&C:"Imagine a blend of warm butter with just a hint of vanilla and honey, then add sweet nutty overtones to round out the flavor. After the bowl is done, expect a pleasant lingering sensation on your palate with no bitterness at...

Tobacco Pr0n - 12yr Aged St. James Flake

It's not plume, I think that it's anthrax. I live near a hazardous waste disposal plant, so send it to me and I'll see that it is disposed of properly.

    Similar to FM Cellar?

Try McC 5125 coyote classic. It's not the same but I think it's close. It has a very light topping that I can't figure out.

    Price per Oz.

The B&M closest to me has a great selection and they don't mind telling me who makes the blends and what their names are. The only problem is they want $6.50 an ounce and it's mostly Lane and Stokkebye. There's a place near my work that has a small selection of Lane, Stokkebye and MacBaren in...

Perique or Oriental Causing Spicy Flavor?

Does perique mellow with age? I just got a tin of Nightcap and all I taste is the perique.

    EMP

Roth, you should try Daybreak by H&H. I haven't tried EMP before but I really like Daybreak. It's blended with EMP in mind. Not a copy or a match, just along the same line as EMP.

    Good Bulk VaPer

Russ also makes a good VaPer called AJ's VaPer.

Hearth and Home House of Lords

I've purchased a couple of those samplers in the last few months and I've tried most, if not all of Russ's English/Balkan blends. If you like HoL you should try Ambassador and Armada (great english blends). If you like balkan blends you should try Mt. Marcy and Sunjammer (these are a little more...

    Aromatic Curse

I don't think that everybody thinks that. A lot of people do though, and I think it's because most pipe smokers start off smoking aros. I did, but once I tasted my first english blend I was hooked on the latakia and orientals. Everyone is different and as the saying goes "Smoke what you like...

    Newminster vs Stokkebye

I'm going to try the english blends (thats what I'm into right now). I have on hand to do a comparison PS EOS, PE, EL, and BS. I also have some LBF and a little bit of LNF. I told you I liked PS. I even have some PS Turkish I got to add to other blends.

    Newminster vs Stokkebye

Thanks Roth, thats what I was curious about. I really like PS, so I guess I'll have to give NM a try.

    Newminster vs Stokkebye

PS EOS:This classic blend brings together the finest mellow Georgian Virginias, Black Cavendish, Mexican Burleys and Cyprus Latakia, while evoking an exotic flair uniquely its own. This distinctively non-aromatic blend produces an astonishing array of refined flavors ranging from mild to medium...

    Newminster vs Stokkebye

Is there really a difference between the two? They changed the names slightly but the descriptions are basically the same. Has anyone smoked similar blends (PS English Oriental Supreme-NM English Oriental or other corresponding blends) to see if there is a difference?

Wally World for Tobacco? I Guess NOT!!!!

Yup, down here in Texas I can get a tub of Carter Hall for only $51 and change.

    Licorice

Altadis has a blend called Skilling that is licorice flavored. It's sold in bulk, just saw it on their new site.

    Red Rapparre

Roth, have you tried Red Carpet by C&D? It's red Va with Perique and some Izmir. I'm finding that I'm not a big fan of Perique, I don't dislike it but I don't like it either (if that makes sense). I do like PS LBF though, I guess it's the Cavandish center that tones down the Perique for me.

    Red Rapparre

I like orientals but, I find I prefer them when they are paired with latakia. In a previous post I had mentioned a large sampler I got for X-Mas, well after smoking most of them, I think I know where my tastes are leaning to. I've enjoyed all the tobaccos I received, just some more than others...

    Red Rapparre

Does anyone have any experience with Rattray's Red Rapparee? Does it contain any latakia? I tried doing a search but kept getting some RedHat page instead. If there is latakia in it, how much is there, a lot, a little or what?

Need a Close Cousin to Blue Mountain

Try H&H Ambassador blend. Had a bowl the other night and it was very good. Never had Blue Mountain so I can't compare.

If You had to Choose Only One Va/Per

I'm a newb in this hobby, but of the Va/Pers that I have tried, I would say Anniversary Kake or Bullseye Flake. AJ's Va/Per is also very good.
