What Are You Drinking? June 2024

That’s a very cool bottle—looks like stone, or a beautiful, mottled ceramic. Are the contents as good?

What Cigar are You Smoking? 2024

Having a Gran Habano Vintage 2002 Churchill (listed as a 7.0" x 50, but, it’s closer to 46) on the porch, while Wasabi chills. It’s 68⁰ and sunny with a light breeze today.

    Ennerdale: A Review

As something of a purist, I’ve gotta go full urinal cake.

Just because it’s a transportation box doesn’t mean it’s not a porta potty.

***What Are You Smoking, June 2024?***

I agree. It always thrills me when I see @wilblee post the music he’s listening to at the other forum; anyone who listens to Brian Eno and the Penguin Cafe Orchestra is aces in my book.

***What Are You Smoking, June 2024?***

I have been intrigued by and looking for J.M. Boswell pipes for awhile. I never remember to check his website for pipe releases on Monday nights, and from what I’ve read, it’s unlikely I would’ve gotten one that way anyway—apparently they sell out almost instantaneously. On the rare occasion a...

***What Are You Smoking, June 2024?***

Decided I didn’t want to waste the nub of a Habana Fonseca Cosacos (vintage 2000) cigar that @onepyrotec gifted me. Smoking the nub in a Rayex Meerschaum-Lined, Blue Polymer Bent Billiard, with an Off-White/Urine Coloured Nylon Stem on the porch.

Can Anyone Identify This Savinelli Pipe Shape?

This is the original deluxe packaging for the Linea 76 that included both finishes. Unfortunately, the smooth 04 is missing from my set. Here’s the brochure opened up to show the smooth and sandblasted finishes. @filmguerilla Does the pic in the upper right match the profile of your pipe...

    "Shag Pipes"

These look a lot like the countless tiny French pipes that you might find from Saint Claude (much like Brulor). It looks like the shank drilling goes under the chamber and the tiny holes are drilled to meet it. This looks like a “design feature” to serve as a filter of sorts. A more conventional...

Wow - William Henry cigar cutters

It covers most cigars, but there are 60 gauge ones that I smoke fairly regularly, which rule out the 52 limit. I highly doubt I would spend that much on a cutter anyway—too many other things would jump the line.

The chamber is 1.125" wide, and 2.75" deep. It’s a big ’un. Hogshead is pretty dense and burns slowly, which I’m sure contributes to being able to get over seven hours of smoking time with a single chamber load. I have a few pipes that get me between four and five-and-a-half hours, but this one...

What Cigar are You Smoking? 2024

I’m enjoying it very much. Its aroma is great—pungent and earthy. The flavour is mild, slightly floral, with forward cedar notes tied in a bit of an astringent mouth feel. @onepyrotec sent me this because I had mentioned that I hadn’t had a Fonseca in many, many years—the unique vegetal notes...

What Cigar are You Smoking? 2024

A special cigar deserves a special cutter. Going to have a wonderful gift from @onepyrotec : a Habana Fonseca Cosacos 5 3/8" x 42 (vintage 2000). Clipping it with a XIKAR Xi3 Fossil Mammoth Ivory Cigar Cutter with 10,000 year old tusk scales (shown with the now discontinued Xi Stingray case):

Wow - William Henry cigar cutters

Cool looking cutters, but I’m not keen on the 52 gauge limit.

Caitlin Clark left off Women's Olympic Basketball Team.

In theory, I agree with you. I think the issue was that many national teams in countries outside of the US were/are state run and amounted to being professional players—the change to allow professional players was an attempt to level the playing field on some level.

***What Are You Smoking, June 2024?***

Resuming the smoke that had me tapping out to a nic hit after smoking it for six-and-a-half hours last night during UFC. There might be thirty minutes to an hour to go on it.
