    Peterson Castle Line Question

Yesterday I got what I believe to be a good deal on an unused pipe from the Peterson Castle line, the "Malahide" shape in rusticated finish. While the pipe is unused it had obviously sat in the shop for a while, as the silver band was badly tarnished. When I got it home and cleaned it up, I...

    Chacom billiard pipe?

I hate to be a nitpicker and I also hate to hijack this thread. That being said I also hate to see historical inaccuracies. @gunnar I see you took that discription from SPC so this is not directed towards you. Napoleon's final defeat was in 1815 at the battle of Waterloo, after that he was...

    Pipe smokers in Jax, FL.

I visited tobacco cove today and had a very pleasant experience there. Had some time to kill (in J-ville on business) and googled nearby pipe stores. Turned out I was 5 minutes away. Had a great pipe conversation. Picked up a new tamper...and a tin of 2007 Xmas cheer!

    What Are You Smoking?(August 2012)

Just got off work and smoking the first bowl out of my brand new Winslow Crown partially rusticated bent apple. I picked it up at my local B&M today, their new stock from the Orlando show is starting to trickle in. Smoking Sherlock's Choice, it's going to be a Latakia dedicated smoker.

Further Down The Rabbit Hole Then I Intended

In my experience, the clinical side and real friends each have a place, and a roll. You're never alone. Not sure if I'm allowed to pm yet or not, but you can hit me up anytime.

Brother, without going into detail, I hope you know there are others who know and can relate. Keep your chin up and your briar cool.

    What Are You Smoking?(August 2012)

Monday night football, enjoying a Young's Double Chocolate Stout. Smoking MacB's VA#1 out of a Sav 804 dressed in alligator green. A very nice combination, the chocolate stout and VA complement each other's sweetness beautifully. Not sure which improves the other more.

New Stem for a Missouri Meerschaum Cob Pipe. Worth it?

Yup, forever stems are completely worth it. "one size fits all" is not exactly accurate. They are made specifically to fit MMs shanks. When I ordered mine I was amazed how fast they arrived, then amazed again at the fit, and how much they changed the character of my cobs. Top notch product.

    African meer going quick

How can you tell it's African meer? I see absolutely no description. Good looking pipe.

    SmokingPipes.com is doing it right

I agree, first rate customer service. They have taken additional pictures of pipes I was interested in and emailed them to me on a few pipes I was interested in. I also like their descriptions. I have ordered pipes from them that I found cheaper on other sites. I will gladly pay for customer...

How long have you been smoking a pipe?

I've been smoking this one for about 30 minutes and it is delicious. Well seasoned nording freehand, half perique half Latakia. Doesn't smell nice though.

    Pipe Cleaning Day!!!

Me too, sitting down with a large bowl of Pete's Summertime in a Karl Erik freehand to watch "Safe House" and clean all the pipes I smoked this week. Sunday is normally "take the dogs to the beach day", but the fringe of a tropical storm is blowing in so it's a good day to stay inside.

    A new Peterson—was I expecting too much?

For what it's worth, I recently ordered a new Racing Green 999, it has several (4or5) fills. The black fills really stand out against the green finish. However it is a fantastic smoker with some really nice cross grain and birds-eye. Is it a perfect $130 pipe...nope. Is it a good smoker that is...

You're Not Going To Believe this!

WOW! I live on the beach, and make walking on the beach while smoking something of an every evening ritual. I've never had any type of an adverse reaction. If I ever do in the future I hope I can handle it with the level of aplomb that you apparantly did. Hope you get your pipe back dude!

    My growing "collection"

I also like your zippo, but I'm curious does it take the same size insert as a modern zippo? I have the 1941 (possibly 1947 I have to look) replica in sterling silver. It's insert is not at all interchangeable with modern zippos, the angles on the corners are different. Great looking Pete's...
