Assault on the New Orleans pipe show

I really timed my New Orleans trip wrong this year. I am in town the following weekend of the 10th. Really, that's because I get Monday the 12th off and don't burn as much leave. Since I have been alternating the last few Falls between Vegas, where I try to hit the West Coast Pipe Show, and...

Decided to Dedicate My Pipes to Blends

Hmm, that plan never really worked for me, but, perhaps, you will succeed where I failed. Not sure how you are planning on smoking all those heavy Lakeland blends...looks like you'll need at least one more pipe. Uh oh, down the rabbit hole you go!!

    Baki Questions

I have a Baki, an Altinook, a Storient, a CAO/Beckler and a cheap little no name meer. Oddly, the Storient is coloring far faster than any of the others and it is a decent pipe. The Altinook and the Beckler are both very nice. However, the Baki, is just a work of art in its simplicity of form...

How Many of the Pipes You Own Do You Smoke?

I am a light smoker. That being said, I have smoked all of my pipes multiple times and, while some get used far more than others, they are all technically still in the rotation. I'm not saving them or anything.

Smoking cigar ends in a pipe

The title of this thread had me believing it was going to be about your prior cigar smoking hobby leading you to pipe smoking.

Any female pipe smokers out there?

Seems like there have been a number of females here over the three or four years I've been around. My approach to women and pipe smoking has not necessarily been to find ways to actively encourage, more to find ways not to discourage anybody from participating. I tend not to agree with the...

    J.M. Boswell Profile Piece

Left a comment on the article, the Boswells seem like a class act as a business, manufacturer and as people. I'll be happy to give them my business again in the future.

What I found by my front door.

Based on the thread title I was going to guess a flaming bag of something. The pipe make a good story as well. Not sure it beats the flaming bag, but still good.

    A question about wind caps

Yep, I can't clench the straight apple Brylon and still walk. I have to use the full bent and let some of the weight rest against my chin. It is tolerable that way, but still a touch heavy. I use a Softee bit on the end and it lets me hold it a little more firmly between my teeth. THIS is...

    A question about wind caps

Since acquiring a dog, of the walking variety, several months back, my Saturday night routine has been to take her for a walk over to the local taproom for a couple of pints and then return home. I have found this is a wonderful time to smoke my pipe. I have also found the spring loaded wind...
