    Rubber tips?

I like them, as I also like to clench and prefer a bit of heft to my stem. I do push them down past the button to make them more comfortable. They appear to be designed to fit over and protect the button, but, if I had to use them that way, I'd take them off!

    Are these legit MM's?

Could have been a second. I know MM used to sell off grab bags of their seconds for pretty cheap.

    The Condor "Moment"

Nothing, there is nothing not to like about Condor. Say it loud, say it proud, "I am a Condor man!" Not to be confused with the early 80's film Condorman, by Disney.

    The Condor "Moment"

I am 42. I am the answer to Life the Universe and Everything, but I am certainly not OLD!!! Good day Sir! I said GOOD DAY!

    Brian Levine Sighting

When did he grow a beard?!?! Oh sorry, I see now that he is the one on the right, my bad!

    Peterson Dracula Tight Stem

Yeah, my Dracula pipe was SUPER tight as well. I ended up putting it in the freezer the first time and then rubbing it down with pencil lead/graphite once I had it out, which helped a great deal.

New Pipe Smoker and I am a woman and I love it!

Good to see that you love being a woman! You go girl, in this day and age it is important to remem...no, wait, I think I misread that... Welcome to the hobby! :-)

When it's cold outside, even a Sav 320 is a clencher

The 320 is one of my favorite shapes, but never considered it a clencher. It must be cold!

2015 New Orleans Pipe Show Takes Over Harrahs Casino!!!

Been alternating a Fall visit to New Orleans and Las Vegas every other year for the past couple of years. I normally schedule the Vegas trip to coincide with the West Coast Pipe Show. Looks like I may want to something similar for New Orleans.

Last Day with my Best Friend

Always a tough day! In time, the good memories will eclipse the sadness of his passing. I'm in the process of getting a dog for my family. I grew up with dogs and cats around and the kids have been wanting one for a while. Knowing how much they can add to life, I felt we shouldn't wait much...

    Lakeland Soapiness

They definitely have various floral and herbal scents and flavors. They are soapy to me in the way a scented soap or perfume would smell, but I do not really associate that with the flavor of soap. To me soapy has always been the wrong word to describe them.

    My Month spent with Lakelands

Ah, I still need to try more of these. I've only had the 1792, Condor, Bob's Chocolate Flake and the Lakeland Brickle from H&H. I am a particular fan of Condor. I have a tin of Ennerdale and Grousemoor. Perhaps it's time to open them.

What's Your "Top 10" Beers List?

My favorite is always the one sitting in the fermenter waiting to be kegged. Full of potential and promise, its style could range from pale ale to stout, that's not important. It's that it is there and I brought it into existence and, for that first sip at least, it will always be the best...

    PipesMagazine.com Official Merchandise is Here

Why don't they say, "If you read PIPESMAGAZINE.COM...you might be a pipe smoker!"?

What's Your All Time "WORST" Beers List?

A lot of brewers are also starting to emphasize the flavor and aroma of late hopping and dry hopping as opposed to the bitterness of early boil additions. Many IPA's, while still bitter, are really pushing the culinary aspect of hops and no longer concentrating on merely sucking the alpha acids...

    That Lakeland Essence

Hmm, I have a tin of Grousemoor and another of Ennerdale I still haven't gotten to. This thread is tempting me!!

    Advice needed for packing

Yeah, packing is weird. I used to do the three step method. Now, I just kind of push it in there until it "feels" right and light it. I do find it's best to do a charring light or two and tamp it down before the main light. I may still need to relight, but if I tamp as I go and tend the flame...
