March Meerschaum Madness - Let the Madness Begin!

It seems our Translucent Altinay pipes are kin. Enjoy it, they color as quick as lightning. This is mine after only 35 bowls.

    School me on Birdseye

All I can tell you is if I’m buying a smooth pipe, you’d best believe that I’ll be looking for one with it.

    Chacom Hate?

I love my Chacom “The French Pipe”. Great Birdseye, .75 x 39mm, 6mm filter, and only weighs a hair over an ounce, light and satisfying. Thinner walls, but I’ve never ever disliked that, better hand warmer through these bitter, windy days. $47 bucks in total, lovely little things. Never disliked...

    Left Handed Forum Members

I’m left handed, but of course like anyone else, I just use whatever hand feels natural for whatever I’m doing. In truth, I’ve only ever known maybe 3-4 lefties in my life, 12% seems a little high.

    Favorite Virginia Tobaccos?

McConnell Black Flake, Wessex Gold Brick, John Aylesbury Sir John’s Flake, Savinelli 140th.

    Cutty Madness Quarterfinals. Match 2.

    2 for sure.

    Weird Double Standard

Life is to be enjoyed, and in enjoying life (and not) folks get hurt, and that’s okay. But again, even at a super simplified level, between an stress-relieving sport that is a great workout and smoking, I’d still pick skateboarding. Just wear a helmet and pads, I doubt he or she wouldn’t, if...

    Weird Double Standard

    Skateboarding, 100%.

    Cutty Madness. Match 4.

I will mimic others, I’m sure, but you’ve begun to make this much harder very quickly.

    Cutty Madness. Match 2.

Number one for me, but only because of number two. Two is sleek and is far more attractive, but the forward cant of the bowl ain’t doing it for me. As beautiful as 2# looks, for some bizarre reason, the longer I look at it, the more I want to snap the bowl right off the thing. XD

One of the Best Tobaccos I’ve Ever Had Is Still Available

The only thing I don’t like about this blend has absolutely nothing to do with the tobacco, it’s just that the tins don’t stack.

One of the Best Tobaccos I’ve Ever Had Is Still Available

Hello everybody, I just wanted to throw it out there that Savinelli’s 140th is fantastic. Far and away one of the best tobaccos I’ve ever had in my five years of smoking. It’s very, very possible it’s the best I’ve had. I’m not here to stir up FOMO, instead to perhaps point newer members or...

Cornell & Diehl Small Batch - From Beyond

    I would love a re-release, great stuff.

    Germain and Sons Stopping Production?

Just a subtle reminder to stay away from the newer production stuff, picked up a bag of Stonehaven for my father just the other day, and it seems that long gone are the days of Stonehaven’s jet-black flakes. The famed Stonehaven smell is ethereal at best, barely there. Bummer.

Nearly Have a Full Week’s Rotation

Placed an order overseas long ago for a few pipes, and they’ve just come in today. Two from the lovely folks at Ser Jacopo, and a Savinelli Punto Oro Gold 601. I’ve been looking at these absolute pieces of art sit around for quite a long while, and with how gorgeous they are, I consider...

Your Pipe Acquisition of the Year

Absolutely goddamn beautiful, thank you for sharing.

Your Pipe Acquisition of the Year

Without a doubt, this Ser Jacopo Billiard.

    Degrees of Separation

I am a distant relative of both Alice Cooper and John Oates. Could I reach them on the phone? No easier than anyone else could. Does it still kick ass? Yes. Never met, probably won’t, and if I did, I wouldn’t go off about it, but it’s cool enough for me.

Quality Changes With J.F. Germain & Son?

I stopped buying Esoterica about a year ago. Bought a fresh bag of Stonehaven and it was golden brown in color. Barely had any Stonehaven flavor to it. Just isn’t worth it to me anymore.
