    Tribute to Dad

I only got into pipe smoking in the last couple of years as a means to get off cigarettes, the doctor told me if i was going to smoke it would be better if I smoked a pipe and practiced enjoying the tobacco flavor rather than drawing and inhaling nicotine receive it through an oral delivery...

    Tribute to Dad

I bought this Kaywoodie rack and tobacco box for my Dad 51 years ago, Fathers Day 1973.When he passed I got it back. just finished sanding and refinishing it. I will use it as a display for his favorite Peterson Army Heritage. If I could only find a can of Middleton Cherry Blend it would be...

    Why?

No none of these and I personally do not care how one would spend their money, nor do I force my opinions or make judgments of choices or questions from others. The whole point of my question was to get a little feed back on why someone would spend that much on a pipe, Which was answered by...

    Why?

The small apple and small claw are hand carved by me and a Dremel tool. I bought two block meerschaum pipe kits for $68 dollars each, used a picture for the apple and tried to duplicate my $200 claw. The Apple took me a week and the claw was a 6 week effort. As far as the smoke goes there is no...

    Why?

I was looking at new pipes and came across this pipe that I kind of like then I see it is $1410.00. I realize I'm not as knowledgeable as most on this site, so I have to ask what some may think is a dumb question. What does this pipe do that my 30 dollar MM Emerald or my 200 dollar eagle claw...

    Suprise!!!

For the last couple of weeks I've been dumping the left overs from filling my pipe out of my tray I use so I don't get any tobacco on my wife's clean floor into a zip lock. the result is a mixture of everything I've been smoking for the last two weeks. I was pleasantly surprised at how good it...

    Sunday Morning Ritual

Barely made the bills this week but they got paid having biscuits & gravy on the back porch with the wife, followed by a bowl of Morning Drive, while the hounds play at the pond. Life don't get much better than this.

    History of the Dragon Claw

This pipe is the pipe that inspired me to get an Eagle Claw, being a grandson of Robert E Lee just felt natural to have a similar Jeff Davis pipe.

    Relaxing With the Hounds

Nothing closes out a day better than sitting on the porch with the bloodhounds in the yard a glass of Woodford on the rocks and my favorite eagle claw meers packed with C&D's Founding Fathers. All in all its been a great day/

    Cuts and Blends

Just learning the ins and outs so bare with me in my ignorance. I have found that I am a meerschaum man whether it be block meerschaum or Missouri Meerschaum. now I'm looking for my blends and cut. I started out with Capt. Black all blends liked the royal and the original most. Now though I've...

    Meerschaum Coloring Bowl- Purpose?

Been reading about meers coloring bowls and was wondering why you would use one. seen a few videos on faster coloring and all that and wondering why. I'm relatively new to pipe smoking and Meerschaums but one of the pleasures of smoking a meers to me anyway is watching it take on the coloring of...

    Breaking in a Cob.

I started smoking a pipe a couple years ago. first pipe was a cheap cobb, graduated to Meerschaums which I love for their smoke ability, the way my eagle claw looks and the pleasure it gives to watch it color. but miss the cob. I just got a Missouri Meershaum Huck Finn, and really know nothing...
