Ebay suprise
I was on ebay "Christmas shopping" and some how stumbled across the estate auctions, which was not my intent. Any hoo I liked the looks of this pipe. I have never seen the brand before so I threw a $19 bid at it and was surprised it won Even more surprising to me anyway this $19 La Rocca smokes... -

Maybe someday but at this point in my life I am perfectly happy with the blends I'm buying and my way if preparation. However if mixing your own is your deal go for it and enjoy.- SSGT.

The Value of Handling Tobacco?
Personally I enjoy the ritual of sitting down in the morning with a fresh cup of coffee while breaking up a good flake to load a morning bowl and fill my pocket tins for the day. So to me yes there is a value in handling my tobacco because it adds to my enjoyment, others may not be the same.- SSGT.

I have a thing for claw pipes and couldn't resist this Dr. Watson. I don't know much about the brand though I know they're on the cheaper side, but this one smokes great and much cooler than most of my Peterson Sav's...ect.- SSGT.

Weekly Ritual
I'm not sure if it's a female thing or a Filipina thing, but for the past 30 some odd years my wife, daughter and granddaughter go "garage saleing " or to a flea market most Saturdays. Leaving me and the dogs to enjoy and relax, which I'm OK with sometimes they find a good pipe to bring home...- SSGT.

As you know I'm new to the Falcon world, just 3 days into it and was wondering if they tend to get hot or is it the way I'm smoking? Mine doesn't get extremally hot but it's a little hotter than my briars and a lot hotter than my Meers. -

My new Estate Falcon arrived today and had my first bowl of C&D"s Red Virginia to complete a day of first. Both were enjoyable, how about a little advice from the Falcon guys on how to care for the pipe, I think it has become my work pipe light weight and durable. -
Golden Days of Yore New vs Aged
I recently got a tin of CD's GDoY and didn't care for it the tin had way too much lumber some of the stems could've been used to build a wall, plus what I could smoke didn't do it for me.
