    Looking Good, Pipesmagazine

I haven't been around for a few years either. I only smoke around one bowl a day, but I also stocked up on various McClelland tins. I found I was down to 9 tins and thought I'd order more, that's when I found out they were no longer producing pipe tobacco. I'm glad Peterson picked up producing...

Yankees Please Take Your Weather Back!

I recently left the Teton Valley in Idaho for the Ms. Gulf Coast. Flat loving the decision. I occasionally need more than a long sleeve tee shirt and we even had freeze warnings for two nights. I don't miss checking the temp and finding double digit numbers below zero.

Lucite stem bending ... the easy way

I've used a heat gun, but lacking this tool I'd opt for Brads boiling water method. TopD, I heard the same sound many years ago while on a free foot tour through Vietnam. Not my favorite memory.

Woodworkers/Furniture Makers: let's see your creations.

First one is a pie safe. What can't be seen is this picture is the punched tin panels. Each one has over 1,000 hand punched holes to form a pattern. The second one is a bed I made from trees that were removed from my lot in the Colorado Mtns, before I built my log house. I decided to take up a...

    I'm Back! (Lucy, I'm Home)

Thanks for the kind words and warnings of the critters of the deep south. Trailboss, that picture of chigger damage says a lot. I managed to get into chiggers in the Colorado mountains and I empathize with the week long misery. This area also has a heartworm issue for dogs, and way to many ants...

    It's Really Cold

The topic of this post is why I moved out of Teton Valley, Idaho. It should be in the 70's all week where I'm now located. I do apologize for my smugness, I'm just loving my new location. Old Cajun, you are right about the Global Warming, or as I've started to think about it as Global Weather...

    I'm Back! (Lucy, I'm Home)

I remodeled my home, sold the house, lived in a rental condo for two months, and finally purchased and moved into my new home. I had to wait over a month for internet service, but I'm up and running now. I haven't been active for around 6 months it seems. I've been lurking around this site, so...

    My Woman Left Me

I'm sorry for your pain. Been there, done that times 3. I have no advice on how you get through the next day and the one after that, but the pain will lessen. My dad always said everybody has strengths and weaknesses, play to your strengths and leave your weaknesses alone. I at least learned...

    No Lighters on the Airplane?

Only once did I run into a hassle checking in for a flight. I was told by the red cap that I had to check my luggage at the counter. I was pulled aside and told to stand on a tile with an agent guarding me while my luggage was taken into a room and checked. No problem found so I continued. I was...

    Radon Mitigation?

I've spent the last hour or so on youtube finding out how to reduce the radon levels. It actually looks doable. I consider my DYI skills to be above average so I may take this one on myself. I'll consult one of the companies that sells the system and make sure I purchase the right unit. Then the...

    Radon Mitigation?

My house tested positive for excess radon. Does anyone know the procedure on how to fix this problem? My house was built in 2005, but it does not have an in place perforated pipe under the basement floor.

    It was a Good Day

I guess it depends on where in Idaho. Yesterday I hiked around 1,000 plus feet above my house and played in the snow with my dog. We have recently been in the 80's, which is a heat wave here in Teton Valley. I has been dry here as well. I'm happy for your good day cobguy.
