mlaug, yeah I love my 320KSs, on different websites the pictures of the tundra line come across looking differently, glad to hear they look good in person.

    Savinelli "Tundra" Line

Do any of you have any personal experience with Savinelli's Tundra line of pipes? I am considering one for my next Sav purchase but haven't handled one in person. Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks in advance, Gary

    Estate Pipe Restoration Blog

photoman, you must've been quick on the uptake, I fixed the link immediately after making the original post. I searched again and it did pop up a couple times, weird, I must've misspelled my first search or something. Oh well, I hadn't seen it before so maybe there will be others that haven't...

    Estate Pipe Restoration Blog

Just stumbled across a cool pipe restoration blog. I did a quick forum search and it doesn't look like it has been posted before, but my apologies if it has. I've read the first 5 or so entries and it looks like it will provide tons of good reading, if you're into things like step by step...

    One Pipe, One Tobacco!

I don't dedicate specific blends to specific pipes, but I do dedicate by flavor profile. The exception is I only smoke 1792 out of one pipe, however I smoke other baccy out of it also, just don't smoke the 1792 in anything else. The tonquin ghost improves some blends and detracts from others...

    Need to lose weight

Good advice from all. Depending on your current habits there are very easy ways to dramatically cut caloric intake. 1. Don't eat anywhere that has a drive-thru 2. Don't buy any food where they also sell gas 3. Cut out all alcohol If you do any of these with regularity and cut...

The Pipes Magazine Radio Show is On!

Awesome show! Great job Kevin & co. Much, much better than the other pipe podcast I listen to. And plenty of room to grow. I'm sure it will entertain and inform for a long time. Bravo

    Author for Photoman

Looking at my 320 ks and ex they seem to be about the same size chamber. The ex seems to have a bit more briar. Looking at various model's specs online they appear to be generally close to each other bowl size-wise.

Radio Show Getting a CDN Account. Whoa!

Awesome, I hope it's so successful you have to upgrade your system even further. Is the episode currently on iTunes the one that will be airing Thursday night?

Who Has The Beautiful Savinelli 320?

I have a 320 KS standing. Love it! I plan on getting it in another finish soon. Plenty of briar keeps the walls/hand nice and cool.

My Nording Signature Is Starting To Get Color

Nice looking pipe! I've been smoking mine for about 8 years and it is DARK. It's been a companion on 4 continents. Unfortunately yesterday I chomped through the bit :( I wish I had had the foresight to take before/after pics. Good call!

Being in the marines will get you plenty of ARMY training, lol. As an instructor at both the airborne and air assault schools I trained plenty of marines. All joking aside, congrats on your decision to serve your nation. It will change your life and you will come out of basic walking a little...

Smooth Pipes Tend To Smoke Better Than Sandblasted

The only difference I have seen across the board is that rusticated/blasted finishes tend to smoke cooler. I imagine this is because of a greater ratio of surface area to bowl size.

Artisan Pipes Group 5 or Larger (TONS of photos)

All beauties, lots of lovely Cumberland. The Old Nellies particularly caught my eye. Would love to hear/see more about those.

    The pipe speaks?

@pa, I understand not wanting all your pipes to taste like deer tongue, but do you ever smoke other blends in that pipe? I have one pipe dedicated to 1792 for the same reason (tonquin instead of tongue) that's all I smoke 1792 in. However I often smoke other blends in it as well because I find...

    New Pete broken in

Great looking pipe! I believe current donegals are nickel banded. I wonder when they stopped using sterling on that line. Congrats!
