It took me over a year to recover my sense of taste for pipe tobacco as well. It’s 90% back now after 18 months. You’re not alone. My wife’s sense of taste and smell is still mostly absent 18 months after COVID.- RonB

Differences Among Peterson's: Early Morning Pipe, Nightcap, Mixture 965
EMP is milder than 965 with less Latakia and more orientals as I recall. 965 has some cavendish added. Nightcap is a fuller stronger blend. That’s a quick summary.- RonB

Pipe Shops in Philly
Holts is a very nice upscale store and from my recollection they had drawers of expensive pipes. Tobacco selection was limited.- RonB

Holts on Walnut Street is the only one I can think of. Most of the store is now devoted to cigars however.- RonB

We were having dinner with our neighbors who are actually older than we are - in their 70’s. The woman commented on how things had changed over years. She pointed to the fact that one never saw anyone smoking a pipe in these days and that it had gone out of fashion. My wife quickly pointed out...- RonB
