Help a Newbie. Bad Taste and Cheap Pipe

As a fellow newbie, I can tell you that there is a difference in the way quality (which does not always mean expensive) pipes smoke versus cheap ones. I have been very impressed with the performance and forgiveness of MM cobs. I have several briars as well but I love my cobs as well. I prefer...

    Suggestions on Plug Tobacco

Thanks for the added suggestions. I will be on the hunt for the next few weeks for at least two plugs. I compiled a list from your suggestions and will hunt at least two of these down. I will post on here what I manage to obtain and let you all know how it goes.

Found a Dunhill Nightcap in Store

I was lucky like you and found a tin while shopping for another blend. My advice is to open the tin, jar it and smoke it out of the jar. I saved the tin and all the packaging in the event I want to take some to a smoke lounge or bar and don't want to lug around the mason jar. Happy Smoking!

    Suggestions on Plug Tobacco

Thanks for the suggestions. I will spend this snowy day looking through pipe tobacco reviews to narrow my search. As Chasing Embers reminded us, the Dunhill blends are long gone but I was able to source a few tins from different places. I just have to get lucky and find one more Nightcap tin and...

    Suggestions on Plug Tobacco

Greetings, I have been smoking a variety of tobaccos and have not had the opportunity to try a plug tobacco. I was searching for Peterson's 3P's a minute ago. However, I wanted to post this to see if anyone can suggest a decent plug tobacco. I am into: Pirate Cake, Aperitif, McClelland's...

Anybody Else Use a Tongue Scraper?

After I smoke I use Hydrogen Peroxide to rinse for a minute, then the tongue scraper, and waterpik. I then brush with an electric toothbrush and use a baking soda toothpaste. I do a final rinse with an alcohol free mouthwash and call it good. It seems a little overboard but it only take about 5...

What Music Are You Listening To ~ November, 2018

After a long and very stressful day (injured pet/missed work/emergency vet visit/surgery and emotionally taxing events), I packed in my MM cob full of C&D Pirate Kake and turned to Dean Martin radio station on Pandora to find his version of “Volare” and it made me feel better.

    The End Is Nigh

After knowing guys and gals who work past their “prime” to be able to afford to retire and only live a few years of worrying about money, and then pass away with most of their savings intact, I say go for it. If life gets tough, you get tougher and fight through it! Enjoy retirement and I hope...

To All My Friends On This Forum

I am glad that at a young age my parents taught me to respect my elders and to help them when others make a joke of their age or situation. Fast forward to today (closer to 40 than I am to 30), I appreciate the knowledge that has been handed down to me from my older friends. I hope to pass this...

    Finding a Pipemaker

Good evening, I am seeking some help in finding a pipemaker that will make me a pipe. I have looked through the Artisan pipemaker list on the forums and found that about half no longer exist, most of the rest do not take orders and the ones that do take orders are a little out of my price range...
