I Like Paper Pipe And Tobacco Catalogs

I quite enjoy receiving the catalogs from P&C, Cigars, Cigars Int’l, and others that I can’t recall. They usually contain very little in the way of new items but I will flip through them without fail. MSO489, you hit the nail on the head. They are the best literature for reading in the John.

Dear Experienced Smokers Who Smoke Fast

I’m pretty sure I work with that guy. We’ll light up our pipes after lunch and you’ll swear you’re sitting beside an old steam train stoking its boiler. He puffs so hard and fast that a bowl lasts him 12 minutes at the most. I’m still bewildered every time I see it.

What Online Retailers Do People Like?

I use them all. My favorite depends on which one has something I’m looking for. When an allocated blend pops up at one of the online retailers, that’s my new favorite. When something I enjoy is on sale, that’s my new favorite retailer. I enjoy P&C when I’m shopping for both pipe tobacco and...

If I Knew Then What I Know Now...

I think at some point they were both owned by a Brown & Williamson Tobacco but not sure if they contained the same tobaccos. Quite possible they did.

    Is Cake Important? Why?

I like a clean pipe too. I, more often than not, use a paper towel to ream out all of the bits and chunks left in the bowl. Makes for a much better smoke on the next round. Sure, some cake naturally builds up but I keep it to a minimum. Some probably turn their noses up to that but it works for me.

    Pipe Tamper Preference Poll

Empty brass is plentiful, cheap, and does a great job. I have buckets of pipe tampers sitting in my garage.

    Childhood Tobacco Memory

I was enjoying a bowl of Virginia flake today. I decided to stick my nose in the tin to breathe in the aroma of the aged Virginia tobacco and a childhood memory from long ago blasted into my mind. I had the childhood fortune of witnessing one of the tobacco auctions when tobacco was still king...

Read This if You'd Like to Know More About Cigars (Specifically Nicaraguan)

That was very interesting. I smoked cigars before I discovered the world of pipes but I still enjoy them. I always enjoy seeing the back of the house in place like the produces something that like.

    Breakfast Blends

I concur. Pipes and cigars don't sit well with me before late morning. Then again, food isn't appetizing to me before 11AM either. I only consume black coffee and water in the AM. I do, however, enjoy Early Morning Pipe in the last morning.
