    Resealing Used Tins

Fitzy: Really? I don't know if I should be offended or laugh. Reselling tobacco? Granted, I have only been around for a few months and have less than 200 posts, but it's not like it was a first post troll. Talking about me in the third person? Even a quick glance at my past posts would indicate...

    Resealing Used Tins

Thanks for the idea. I currently use Mason jars. Still interested in resealing the tins though.

    Resealing Used Tins

Hey Guys. Is there any way to reseal used tins? I have some bulks coming and would like to put them in tins I have. Maybe melt some parafin around the bottom side of the lip?

    Blending with Cigar Leaf

Thanks to the OP for this thread. I too have been experimenting haphazardly with less than desirable results and was resolved to leave my cigar leaf experiment by the wayside. The recipes especially have rekindled my interest.

    Mead Anyone?

This was almost certainly an introduction of a foreign yeast, possibly airborne but probably on a utensil, in your carboy, mixing pail, etc.. If you are not absolutely scrupulous about sanitation and keeping the right level of water in your airlock, undesirable yeasts can get in there. I'd love...

    Mead Anyone?

Do any of you make mead? I have been making some meads for a few years now and would love to swap ideas.

    Beater Pipe Rustication

Excellent work! I haven't ever done a rustication although I have one in mind. Your pipe looks great and sets a good bar to reach for. Thelonius. Csmic's addition to the thread is nice too.

    B&M In Southwest Florida

I have the same situation here in Boise Idaho. The Boise area is the only metropolitan city in the state (if you can call it that.) A population of a bout 600,000 people and you cannot buy any pipe tobacco aside from the standard drug store variety pouches or renamed bulk aromatics. Yet there is...

    Fantastic Red Viscount

Yes, sir. That was me. I have restored quite a few of these now and have posted a few on here. Most have bland grain or a lot of filler, but that one you are referencing was a beautiful exception.

So What is the Latest on Dunhill?

I'm so bummed out about this. We go through a lot of Nightcap at our house. It was the first pipe tobacco my wife ever tried and she was instantly hooked. She will indulge me by smoking other blends with me but she'd rather have Nightcap every day. It's gonna be sad when that ends I think.

    Red Cake for the Win

Hey Guys. Several weeks ago I told the story of how I got violently ill after smoking some aromatic baccy after a long hiatus from all aromatics. I mentioned that I really wanted to try some good aromatics and asked for suggestions. As is the norm here, I received many great responses. Several...

What Kind of Pipe Loot Did You Get?

Seriously. For all the complaining about them, it looks like they sure came through for a lot of folks!
