    Same here, especially birthdays and Christmas. My wife has a tinge of "prepper" in her, so she reasons if there's a national disaster it'd be better to have tobacco and alcohol stored away in the cellar for which to trade for essential goods, rather than 25 lbs of pickled eggplant.

    Maybe it's just my taste buds or chemistry, but I don't like drinking anything when I'm smoking. I find it diminishes the enjoyment of both; some reaction between the smoke and the liquid creates a nasty overtone that lingers.
