    I agree with the suggestion to rent a mailbox in a neighboring state and drive to pick it up. You could limit it to just 3 or 4 times a year since you want to be over the free shipping number anyway--so these would be large orders.

    How old is it? The blend changed to my taste around 2015-2016. I suspect they began to mix some Cyprian with the Syrian at that point to keep it in production as long as possible. After loving the blend from 2008/2009 on I then tried a newer tin around 2015 and was disappointed.

    I don't know what this may mean for pipe tobacco but the premium hand rolled cigar industry has won its case against the FDA. The deeming rules will no longer apply to premium hand rolled unflavored cigars. Does anyone know where the rules for pipe tobacco stand as of now? Link to article...

    I use totes similar to these for my tins. When you open the tote you can smell tobacco, mostly from the square Sam Gawith tins, but also from the square older Dunhill Flake and Capstan tins. The round ones seem more intact.

    I wouldn't call them basket pipes. There is a recent line of sandblasted freehands now being sold by some of the Italian pipe retailers. The bowls look like Dunhill's work. The stems, however, are pre-formed and not hand cut to the level of Dunhill. Still, worth checking out if you like the look.

    Coumarin was the flavoring in original UK made Capstan. At some point it was banned and so you see a lot of "coumarin substitute" entries in these lists.
