    How Many Different Tobaccos Stored?

I have “lifetime quantities” of my top 5 or so blends, and then several dozen blends trailing behind it in the “I have enough” category.

    1792 Flake by Samuel Gawith

1792 Flake, and it’s plugged version brother “Cob Plug”, is an excellent option for me as an outdoors smoker on a cold winter night. I agree with the other comments about it losing it’s topping quickly if it’s dried out before smoking.

    Collecting cigars

I don’t collect them for the sake of collecting; I plan on smoking each and every one of them. My issue that I may be aging them to death because i almost always reach for a pipe instead of a cigar. But when it’s time for a cigar, I gladly “kill my darlings” and smoke the best stuff first.

    Pipe Cleaning Recommendations for Newbies

I use either Everclear or 91% isopropyl alcohol. Both give good results.

How Often does Your Favorite Tobacco Change?

My favorite tobaccos don’t change much anymore. After 5 years of pipe smoking, I mostly stick to three houses: GH (including SG), McClelland and Germain. Mostly Virginia and Va/Per, very little lat. I’m happily stuck in my ways. I only smoke 3-5 bowls a week, though.

    A Letter from Customs

@Ziven I received a similar letter last November specifically for an international import parcel of pipe tobacco. I appealed it and I won my case. If you want details on how I won, PM me and I’ll show you the info. I researched the PACT Act and also USPS’s Prohibited Articles list and proved...

Anyone Ever use WISE to Make Purchase?

I’ve done it two or three times and it was very easy and affordable. I made a couple of orders from Tabak aus Kiel in Germany a year or two ago. Fees were dirt cheap, the wire transfer was fast, and the website is a breeze. Way cheaper than going to my B&M bank and setting up a traditional...
