I have roughly 10 blends that I have sufficient amounts to get me till I croak. There is no use in me having tons because it will not get smoked and the family won't know what to do with it once I'm gone. I am in the process now of thinning out some of the tins and samplers that I just won't reorder. Occasionally I will get a few samplers because I want to continue trying new things, but I'm not going overboard doing it.

I love the idea of having a long term stash of 5-10 blends cellared deep.
But the reality is that I love variety, and so I'm buying at least one tin of anything that sounds up my alley. When I finally get to smoking it, if I like it, I'll buy more. And if I can't, then I'll make sure to enjoy that last ephemeral tin even more.

I’m planning a garage conversion into a man cave in the next couple of weeks. At that time, I’ll probably be moving all of my tobacco. If that happens, I intend to take an inventory and maybe even get it written down or into the computer.

Notice how loose the commitment is. I hope to see it through, but I’ll also be happy with a new chair and an ashtray, so who knows.
We want pictures after the conversion is complete.

Only one at the moment, 1000grams of Gawith Hoggarths Gawith Red Mixture, it pays to buy in bulk, it's my main go to Tobacco, used to be called Kendal Red or sometimes Red Kendal, if I ever fancy a change I just buy a tin or two, never been into storing, I like my tobaccos how they come, might leave the lid off a new tin for an hour or two.

I have 126 different blends cellared. Started in the late 90s and know exactly what I have because I keep them logged in a spreadsheet. They're all tins, because my preference was always tins over bulks.

A quick thought about it all: I started slowly, concentrating on those blends that I liked and cellaring a couple of pounds of each before moving on to the next one. The problem is that my tastes changed substantially with the years, and now I have a significant amount of things that I don't like anymore. In particular, I moved away from Latakia, which was the favorite in my younger years, and developed a taste for sweet VAs. I hear this is something that happens to many, as we age, so it may be something to consider. If I were to do it all again, I would concentrate on VA and VA/PER blends, preferably those in flake form.
