    Who Made this Pipe??

I think that's it - if you look at the underside picture, I think I see that marking (rotated 90 degrees) right at the joint. It's a bit hard to see since it's a black rusticated finish, but my mind says it's there.

    Who Made this Pipe??

I don't know, but I think I see an S and W, if that helps

How to store small spun cut coins intact?

Thanks everyone for your suggestions. Some more clarification: I don't regularly smoke any single blend, so basically I have about 80 mason jars and dip into each on a sporadic basis. Three of my jars have small coins in them, and a lot of the coins got un-spun, which isn't the end of the world...

How to store small spun cut coins intact?

What's a good way of storing spun cut coins like 3 nuns or Roll Cake in such a way that the coins stay nicely laid out? Should I just leave them in the tin and put the tin in a mylar bag?

    Ember Size when Smoking Slowly?

How big should the ember be of one is trying to smoke slowly? If I'm relighting my pipe after it goes out, I find it smokes more reliably if I keep the fire on for about 2 to 5 seconds, trying to spread the flame over the whole surface of the tobacco. But although I try to smoke slowly, (I...

    Washing Mason Jars?

I wash them when new, because I happen to think they smell. If I am refilling an empty jar with a new tobacco, then I wipe it out, and if it still has a strong smell then I wash it, otherwise just wipe and fill.

    Pipe Tobacco Drops.

With respect to Mac Baren Stockton on Smoking Pipes, I can't even see the description page, so I can't even sign up for an alert. If I browse through Mac Baren, it doesn't show, of I search for Stockton, I get 0 results.

    Pipe Force IV

Is the copy here saying that stoved tobacco is the same thing as Cavendish? That doesn't sound quite right.

    Recommendations for a Chinese Cleaver

I usually use the carbon steel CCK as well, but if you want stainless, well, they make a stainless version as well: ( S/S Kitchen Slicer) http://chanchikee.com/Chinese%20Knives.html For stainless, I use and like the Dexter-Russell...

    Clear Mouthpiece Stem Rubber Bits

I purchased both sizes of these- they're ok. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B087NL1CP8/ What I don't like about them is that, as silicone rubber bits, they don't stick (semi-adhere) to the stem, like the natural rubber soft-bits will do. One thing you might try is to get some latex tubing...

Shape Name for a Reverse-canted Bowl?

Thanks, I'm thinking I might try that - well, more likely I will try to heat up and straighten out the stem.

Shape Name for a Reverse-canted Bowl?

Oh, interesting, thank you. That's quite a chin on that thing. It's a good name - reminiscent of a streamlined locomotive. But it's not quite what I was imagining - the opening on this looks parallel to the line of the stem, and I think I was picturing having the opening at an angle facing...

Shape Name for a Reverse-canted Bowl?

Title edited for caps and brevity. Original: "Is there a shape name for a reverse-canted bowl w straight stem?" I have a few pipes that have a slight forward cant, like a cutty or zulu kind of shape. And if I smoke while working on something with my head facing downward, the bowl opening can...

    How Slow can You Go?

OK, so I've been wanting to ask - I keep seeing members discuss this idea of sipping on the pipe, or keeping the ember at a stage where it's almost in danger of going out. Always with a lot emphasis on how gently do do it. I even recall one member describing how most bystanders will think your...

How Long Can You Wait before Relighting ?

This weekend I found a pipe that I hadn't smoked in over a year, it still had 2/3 of a bowl in it. Didn't know what is was, and I didn't think I had much of a palate memory. Lit it back up and thought, "oh how nice, it's Gawith's Full Virginia Flake!"

    Is 0% Oxidation Possible?

One of my first pipes I bought off eBay had a very oxidized stem. The color was that yellowy brown with a greenish tinge known as baby doo doo brown. I had decent results from soaking it in a solution of bleach and water, and then polishing with a super fine emery board

    Good Children’s Books

Mine are younger than yours, but I like some of the Moomin books. And when they get older, I look forward to reading the Phantom Tollbooth, and books of Roald Dahl, and Daniel Pinkwater. As far as newer offerings, I think there are some good ones out there, but of course all books are going to...
