Actually I didn't start yet :-) I do completely agree, the construction looks difficult to assemble. It can exist only if at least one part of tube (inside of the stem or inside of the stummel) is ideally straight and is not fixed, i.e. it can be turned round easily inside that part of the pipe...
Thanks! Even if people can ignore me, they probably won't ignore such keywords as Dunhill :-)
Speaking honestly it was already the late night in Kyiv when I created this topic and and I went to bed almost immediately. Thus I was sleeping while you all were responding to my question. Pardon :-)
Recently renewed 1975 Red Bark. Quite an unusual and confusing construction: the tennon looks like made for a filter but the hole diameter is only 5.8 mm (0.23"). Thus both 9 mm and 6 mm filters won't fit there. Does anyone has an idea what it could mean? :-)
That wasn't a complicated case. Just some cleaning, deoxidizing and slight refresh of the finish. I wish all god pipes were of such a great condition until their century
Before:
Thank you! That's exactly I've looked for.
Yes, most probably it's bone stinger, I was just a bit confused with it and forgot about simple natural materials :-)
No problem, there's already 5.45 PM in Kyiv and I am going to have another one cup of coffee today :-)))
In my case there's no issues to put a cleaner, everything is fine and comfortable. Perhaps there's really a bur or something like this in your 406.
Thank you, jdhayes,
It's really amazing, some of pipes are older than my grandparents :-) It's the fantastic phenomen!
Yes, this construction looks very similar to mine, but shorter and made of metall. Which period your pipe belongs to?
