    Londoner Pipe?

Sablebrush, That may sound stupid but I don't know (yet) which one and what the difference between two catalogs published in 1962. But I really like Barling pipes, at least these few ones from the middle of XX century which I have collected and I feel that the general information from popular...

    Londoner Pipe?

Dear Sablebrush & Agnosticpipe, thanks a lot for responding to my post. My last guess is that it could be a pipe produced exactly before moving the production abroad, therefore it's still English but not Italian Londoner (that I mentioned under two Londoners) and the pipe is without logos on its...

    Pipe Photography

My wife is a photographer too. I just asked her to look at your pictures (they are great indeed!) and she expressed not even a tip, just a thought to make a good even better: the two last pictures lack some front light (not a spot - to avoid reflections and flecks, but a soft blurred light)

    Londoner Pipe?

I have obtained recently another one LONDONER LONDON.ENGLAND pipe without any logos on the stem. The pipe is from a quite old collection, there were also Barling's Guinea (pre transition) pipes and some other interesting items. I attach pictures of the pipe. I am slightly confused now...

    Ukrainian Briar

My congratulations! The pipes is nice indeed! Briar is most probably from Greece as far I can know (there's no local briar here in Ukraine unfortunately).

    My Wife's New Ukrainian G. G. pipe

Hi all, I am from the same city where Golden Gate is located :-) And I know some of these guys personally. They have started as a small cooperative workshop in 1980s (during Soviet Union times). They made firstly a lot of pipes from different wood (except briar) but from the 1990s they started...

    2 Questions re Pipe restoration

Before sanding the ream you can try to clean it with the backing soda :-) But you should be ready to restain - at least the ream if not the whole pipe. @rothnh It's a shame for me but I wasn't aware that Halcyon wax is for sanded (rusted) pipes. Thanks so much! :-) It's the great site indeed!

    Filter Question

Please don't be afraid but the 9 mm filter pipes are pretty good (i.e. K. Joure ;-)) If you don't wont to smoke filter pipe you can find an 9 mm adaptor so it will be a completely free smoke.
