    Colored Stems

Damn ‘embers, you took it way back with that avatar. ? Took me a while before I noticed the skull replacement ?

Do You Have Rotations? Do You Rotate Your Rotations? A Rotating Rumination

Just do it ‘til you need glasses, then you know it’s time to stop. ?

    Hot Air?

Maybe dark fired Kentucky is not your jam? ?‍♂️

    Happy Place.

I hate the way they litter the yard. Straw, cones, limbs and twigs. Pecan trees are pretty bad about limbs, too.

***What Are You Smoking, September 2021?***

War Horse Green in a cob. Good stuff. Probably time to find the nail clippers though ?

Tough Day for a Good Boy

That’s rough. I had to put down my 13 year old Doberman back in January. No words really help, but I feel for you.

    C&D From Beyond

I might snag a tin just to try. I like a Perique-loaded English.

    Crazy, huh?

I’ve done it when comparing similar blends. Not both pipes clenched at once, but both lit, alternating intermittently, and using a beverage to “cleanse the palate,” as they say.

Do You Have Rotations? Do You Rotate Your Rotations? A Rotating Rumination

I don’t rotate per se. But now @cosmicfolklore has me wondering if Jim Gaffigan really smokes a pipe. ?‍♂️ Also, instead of ruminating on rotation… Rotating ruminants! It’s a thing…

    War Horse Green...Holy $H!*

I only just started smoking this one, but to me it shares a lot in common with Mixture 79, another “love it or hate it” blend. To me it’s a little more amped up than 79. I like it quite a bit so far.

    RIP Norm Macdonald

Norm was hilarious. I was definitely bummed to see he had passed. He was one of the greats at telling those long-winded shaggy dog stories, keeping you entertained the whole time.

Do You Like the Taste of a Really Good Cigar?

If you’re talking about the kind of characters I think you’re talking about, I just shrug it off. The ones that just regurgitate whatever they read in the latest issue of Cigar Afficionado? You know good and damn well most of the guys like that probably couldn’t even tell you what kind of leaf...

    Breaking in an MM Cob.

They do have a different taste the first few bowls, but the only time it tastes bad to me is when they dribble that damn black stain down into the chamber.

Do You Like the Taste of a Really Good Cigar?

Love a good cigar. I will say that becoming a pipe smoker has made me able to enjoy my cigars more than ever. I think the fact that pipes force you to build a habit of taking it slow really opens up the flavors of cigars more. As for leaf, I love it all, pretty much the same with pipe tobacco...

    Health Problems, Gotta Quit.

It’s bizarrely fun once you get to that point where you could basically run all day without getting winded. I used to love it, but now my knee bitches me out if I do more than half a mile. ? Definitely something fun (although maybe not at first) and healthy to get into.

    What Cigar are You Smoking?

Nothing fancy here, but if you’re in the mood for a “coffee and cream” smoke, these Cafes just hit the spot. And I’m getting the feeling that these style cigars are somewhat out of vogue right now, so they’re pretty damn cheap. I think I paid less than $2 a stick for 20 of these last time I got...

    Cigar Shops and Pipe Smokers

There’s a shop near me that sells pipes, pipe tobacco, and cigars. The owner is a pipe guy. I’ve seen patrons smoking both in the lounge area of the store. But generally most tobacco stores that have a lounge seem to be cigar-oriented.

    9/11 Memories

I was on my way from classes to my construction job. When I showed up to work everyone listening to the news on the radio in the work truck and I found out what had happened. Later that day I watched Air Force One fly overhead on its way to nearby Barksdale AFB, where President Bush gave an...

First Impression: GL Pease Stonehenge Flake

My secret Santa gifted me a tin from 2017 this past Christmas, and it quickly became a favorite. Kind of reminds me of a cross between Coniston Cut Plug and Bob’s Square Cut. Plenty of floral Lakeland essence, but the tobacco really is in the forefront. I always order some more tins when GLP is...
