Yes, Virgina, Santa Smokes a Pipe!

This year's "ICE" show at the Gaylord Palms in Orlando is based on Frosty. They carved at least six big statues, all with his signature pipe. :puffy:

    Anyone in Norman, OK

Yes, Royal Pipes is on Boyd across from campus. Good place, if you're ever in Norman. I lived in OKC for a while as well. I know Tinderbox, but they aren't open on Saturday. Coming up for Red Earth Festival tomorrow. Any thoughts as to other places?

Just, wondering. I live in Orlando, but grew up in Norman and am here helping give Dad end of life care. Hang out at Royal Pipes every once in a while.

    Central Florida B&M

'Ol Times Cigars on 436 in Casselberry has a some pipes and tobacco. Cigars Plus in downtown Kissimmee also has some supplies, but these are both really oriented towards cigars. If it were me, I'd make the drive to Edwards.

Memorable Pipe Smokers From Your Past.

I've posted this before, but Pap is the reason I smoke a pipe. Every picture we have of him, he has a pipe. Brought a pipe with him from Ireland in 1912 and was the epitome of leaving a legacy in terms of hard work and self reliance. I happen to be visiting my elderly parents now and just last...

Here We Go Again...Now There's "Third Hand" Smoke

Every time I hear a reference to "The Third Hand," it's in implies divine intervention. So, perhaps this is proof-positive that God is a pipe smoker? Beyond that, Third Hand Smoke would make a good band name or at least an album cover. Oh, wait, they don't make those anymore...

    G.L. Pease blends

Maltese Falcon is a favorite. To me, it tastes like my meditation incense smells, if that makes sense. I also think gin tastes like Scotch tape smells, so take that for what it's worth.

    Photography Practice

"Clouds are, for the most part, a photographers friend...nice soft lighting...eliminates harsh, distracting shadows." Absolutely. Unless you're at the beach and need to relate tropics, nothing beats overcast for great photography. And, beautiful collection of pipes, by the way!

    Central Florida?

I am going to set aside Saturday, November 5, as a day to get together with whomever wants to. Don't know where or time, but I marked my calendar. Perhaps Edward's in Lakeland? Harry's in Oviedo?

    Best freekin' pipe site ever!

Agree with with all above, however-- don't discount the power of garden gnomes. I am very grateful for all I've learned from this site! Thank you all- Cheers Bob

    Pap's Churchwarden

Dad said it is an all clay pipe. I was just stoked to find a shot of him firing it up!

    Pap's Churchwarden

I ran across this video clip of my grandpa enjoying his churchwarden that was given to him upon his retirement from the steel mill in the late 1950s. He came over from Ulster in 1912 at age 20 and it seemed he had a pipe in hand until the day he died. Anyone else have any vintage shots they'd...
