I ran across this video clip of my grandpa enjoying his churchwarden that was given to him upon his retirement from the steel mill in the late 1950s.

He came over from Ulster in 1912 at age 20 and it seemed he had a pipe in hand until the day he died.

Anyone else have any vintage shots they'd like to share?

Wonderful video clip you got there, what a cherished piece of family history. It's hard to tell; is that a reed-stemmed clay or clay all the way?

Looks to be a clay all the way. One of those ones with the glazed end. Damn. I need to get clay pipe...

looks like he was quite a jovial man, and with a great looking pipe too! and I'll agree, that is a great piece of family history to have.

Dad said it is an all clay pipe. I was just stoked to find a shot of him firing it up!
