Hi Guys & Gals. Just got another Ser Jacopo to add to the collection. Should be a great smoker as they all seem to be. It is a Bent Paneled Dublin L2 Pulchra. Looking forward to the first smoke when it gets here. :puffpipe:

Pipe, Ball Game & Birds....Spring Finally?

It is slowly becoming more difficult to believe that Spring is anywhere even remotely close. I look out on my deck and see about 14-15" of snow accumulated over the past three days now, and no sign of stopping! It's about 28 out, and 23 in the garage. Personally I am getting more than a...

    Dottle, The Unburned Tobacco

I know it will be hard. Unbearable maybe, but I think I can live without the dottle I dump out. Really guys, tobacco is but a minor cost in life. Surely there are deeper things to ponder during ones smoking time. Or maybe we could develope different compititions, such as; Who has the least...

    Everclear Prices

By the looks of it, we (USA) may not need the ATF much longer. First get rid of all the guns. Overtax the tobbaco.(That will always be a great Govt. cash cow) Eliminate Everclear access. No further need for ATF. The IRS can now deal with those remaining issues. The polititions have been...

    First Tobacco?

I agree with rothnh all the way. Great advise as usual. A good starter in my opinion is also Lanes 1Q. You can go from there. I can't believe you will ever "not like 1Q" if you find you enjoy tobacco, even if in the future you find others that suit your taste as well. IMHO. :puffpipe:

Pipe Cleaning and What Alcohol to Use

The lab grade Ethanol is as good or better than Everclear. Wish I still had access to such a perk. It will clean and sweeten a pipe better than anything else

    Disaster!

Mike has been doing most of the work of that type for quite some time now. Same fine work, same fine quality, according to Dave. I recently talked with him on the phone and he has assured that Mike will continue to produce impecable repairs.
