It's Official - Scotland is The Third Best Country in the World to Visit !!

I have spent time more than once there. Would visit in a heart beat. Love it, love the people, the atmosphere, and the pubs. On one trip we camped/B&Bd all the way around and through the center for 32 days and loved every moment of it! In my mind; a slice of heaven! :puffpipe:

    Pipe Bowl Repair

Thank you so much Mr. James. I was thinking about JB Weld, as it had served me well in other situations. I had forgotten about it being heat resistant up to 600 degrees F. The Gorilla brand epoxy should work well also. Since none of the adheseve will show on the outside of the bowl in this...

    Pipe Bowl Repair

Are there any suggestions out there as to how repair a hole in a bowl which is either a burn through or has been drilled to close to the wall? I have cut a tiny hardwood plug that just fits the hole, but I am unsure as to what adheseve I might use that will stand up to the heat it may be exposed...

    Big Bertha

Have the same rifle in 45-70. Not quite so much punishment, and I have shot it long range for several years. Up to and including 1000 yds with duplex loads. My rifle is made by Shiloh. Used to belong to a favorite gun author of mine. Love the daylights out of it. It hangs when not in use in...

Half & Half Vintage Tin Find

Reminds me of my favorite grandpaw. It was his favorite tobacco! His shop had so many tins of various sizes all stuffed with bits and pieces of hardware one could not have counted them all. Those were "shining times" well spent with someone who helped shape my life. I would love to find one...

    Whaling Ship Tobacco Pipes

My wife has gone "whale watching" several times and never seen one. I tell her it is because her ancestors placed a curse on her. They were one of the founding fathers of Nantucket. Their name was Starbuck. There were four families that built their fortunes on Whale Oil. The Starbucks...

How Much do You Guys Smoke a Week?

I guess I am a "lightweight" also. Only have a bowl about four times a week. I almost always have one watching my dog and an aunt & uncle of his play in the backyard. Their once a week "romp". My friend who owns my boy's relatives also smokes a pipe and we usually try out a new tobacco...

    Estate Ser Jacopo Addition

Have smoked several bowls now and as with all of them that I have; this one smokes better than it looks and it looks better than any photograph could depict. I have always been happy with all my Ser Jacopo Pipes. They are a bit pricy, but then so is another fine doublegun, flyrod, or...
