    Pearl Harbor

Very nice baron. I know it is easy to take things for granted. My Grand Dad was an engineer gunner on a B-17 in WWII and my dad was a Naval Aviator in Korea. Those guys had stones, as do all the vets that have served in war time.

    Pearl Harbor

I have 5 minutes to get this in (Mountain time zone). I just want to remember all those that lost their lives in the Pearl Harbor attack and all the ones that survived that awful day. This smoke is for you.

    Blues Brothers

Donald Dunn and Steve Cropper are two amazing musicians. I have been playing guitar for 20+ years and I am influenced by their playing to this day.

    Meerschaum vs Briar

Thanks for all the advise and everyone's personal experience. Thanks mlaug for the words on pressed vs block. I want something that is of good quality. My briar collection is small but all my pipes are of good quality. I would rather own a few really nice pieces than a bunch of junk.

    Meerschaum vs Briar

I really like the carvings I have seen on some meers, it is what really intrigues me about them. The way they change colors is cool too. I think I will definitely pick one up.

    Meerschaum vs Briar

I am thinking about purchasing a decent meerschaum, I only own briar and was wondering if anyone smokes meerschaums regularly. Do they take some getting used to? Any thoughts?

    Bulk or tins?

OK, So I've been looking for a forum like this forever so I am going to get it all out. Do you guys prefer tin tobaccos over bulks or vice versa. Personally tins always seem stale to me. I come from a long line of pipe smokers and I have been mainly exposed to bulk tobacco.

    Pipes and Cigars?

I am very like jship079, winter time really brings out my pipes. To me each has its nuances, pipe tobacco generally has a better taste but there is something about the aroma of a cigar I can't resist.

    Pipes and Cigars?

Just wondering how many of you pipe smokers alternate between pipes and cigars. I personally love both. The wife prefers the pipe smoke of course but I just can't give up the cigars. I keep both my cigar humidor and my tobacco jars well stocked.
