***What Are You Smoking, November 2023?***

Enjoying Gawith Hogarth & Co. Dark Plug in a Barling Dublin. It’s a beautiful, warm Arizona evening out here in the Mohave Desert.

***What Are You Smoking, June 2023?***

I’ve been smoking a lot of G,H&Co. Dark Flake (scented and unscented) for the past few months. Tonight I opened a tin of SG 1792 and am enjoying a bowl in a Barling Make billiard. It’s definitely kin to the Dark Flake family but is unique in its flavoring. We’ve had a mild June out here in the...

    Coniston Cut Plug

I’m a big fan of GH&Co. products. I smoke them most every day. My favorite is Dark Plug, followed by Dark Flake both scented and unscented. I have always thought of Coniston as a “Bosun Light”, similar but milder.

***What Are You Smoking, January 2023?***

I just returned from an exploratory offroad day in the desert and am firing up a bowl of Gawith, Hogarth & Co. Kendal Mixed. I’ve been smoking this one quite a bit lately.

I'm Becoming A Seasonal Pipe Smoker.

I live in the Mohave Desert, Arizona where summer temperatures can reach 125 with winter highs in the 60’s. Usually very little humidity and no insects to speak of, lol. 9 months of the year outdoor smoking is great. The other three I have to work at it - early morning, late at night, and even...

What Are You Smoking, October 2022?

Sam’s Flake in a four dot Sasieni rustic. The weather has turned in the Arizona desert and this morning is 70, no wind, sunny and clear blue skies. Attire continues to be flip flops, shorts and short sleeves. This is my favorite time of year.

Try to Not Smile When You Read Greg Pease's October Column

A good read, for sure. I don’t intentionally age tobacco but as I have bought more than I smoke (to ensure supply) most are aging by default.

What Are You Smoking, October 2022?

Enjoying a bowl of Gawith, Hogarth &Co. Dark Plug in a small Barling Make Dublin. I love this tobacco but it is the Devil to cut and pack. It rained a bit today and temperatures are cooler out on my back patio in the Mohave desert. I think the hot summer is finally fading.

    The Strongest Blend You’ve Tried

My answer will still be the same.

    The Strongest Blend You’ve Tried

The strongest I have smoked is Rustica, and I really don’t care for the flavor much. I really enjoy Gawith, Hogarth & Co. blends and find Dark Plug to be the strongest. I also enjoy Dark Flake (scented and unscented), all the ropes, Dark Birds Eye, Kendal Dark and Kendal Kentucky. I suggest...

***What Are You Smoking, Sept. 2022?***

Enjoying Gawith, Hogarth &Co. Dark Plug in an old Barling Make Dublin. We’re seeing the effects of the Baja hurricane here in the Mohave desert. No rain (back to normal) but a nice cooling off-85 degrees on my back porch this evening. Nice flavor from this buy of a year ago.

***What Are You Smoking, Sept. 2022?***

Enjoying a bowl of Gawarth, Hogarth & Co. Dark Plug in an Ashton Sovereign X. It’s a windy and hot night here in the Mohave Desert. It seems the monsoons have stopped for the time being.

***What Are You Smoking, August 2022?***

    Nicotine Reactions

I love the strong blends late at night and occasionally get the nic-ups, common culprits are Gawith & Hogarth dark Plug, Dark Flake u/s and Kendall Kentucky (??). I have learned that slow smoking is my best cure.
