I was following that briar circle Pete, too. I think it was Dan Chasin that had recently posted something about a similar pipe in his collection, possibly in the PSOI group. It’s definitely cool. The photos by Chance Whittamore (greatestatepipes) always seem somewhat oversaturated and with lots of added contrast, but pipes you buy from him are restored to as close to new as is possible. I can highly recommend him.

The colours of Chance’s photos never match the pipe you receive; something is waaay off on his colour balance. But the pipes are nicely cleaned up and tastefully polished, unlike Todd’s dripping wet, shiny candy apple treatment that rarely looks like the factory finish found on most brands.

And since we are showing off Petersons, here is my first one, bought in 1997 in a little tobacco store in London.
I really wish I could remember the name of the place.
I still remember the strong and bitter taste of the ebonite the first time I put it in my mouth, oddly awful and pleasant... It disappeared after a while.
This pipe has been to many places and unfortunately has been dropped a few times as it has been a good companion in all sorts of trips. The rim got chipped in a couple spots.
It is beaten up but one of my dearest pipes.
