Haven't had the opportunity to smoke in the mornings much lately with how busy works been but today is a nice exception.

Enjoying a bowl of GLP Windjammer in this Doctor's Bamboozled Brandy:

My First real pipe was a Lorenzetti Augustus Caesar 03. Great pipe! Enjoy it buddy, enjoy your journey.
Thanks Mortar, it has certainly been an enjoyable journey so far! More so than the cigar journey. Pipes have replaced cigars for the most part, at least for the last four years. Enjoy your time with pipes as well.

A couple of years ago I stopped by an old pipe shop in Santa Cruz and picked up a couple of ounces of tobacco. It was over-priced, but I wanted to support what seemed like a dying business. One was a Burley and the other was a Virginia. I ended up throwing them together in a jar and sealing it up. Just opened it this morning and smoked a bowl. It was delicious! I call it my Santa Cruz blend. Smoking in a Sasieni Old English 11 rusticated straight billiard. Good little pipe and delicious tobacco with my Saturday morning coffee!

I just got into Cigars and have been loving it, just order 2 Padron Natural 2000s and 1 Madaro 2000. Been absolutely loving the Cigar journey. Pipes has been a wild ride the last year. Finally narrowed down kinda what I like and have got to try a good load of everything. Haunted Bookshop and Riverboat Gambler have been my favorites. I like both pipes and cigars.

Haunted Bookshop in the Savinelli Tortuga 106. Drinking Coffee. It's hot out but my porch is still cool for now. Might go to beach later, I want to pick up skim boarding. Use to like doing it as a kid, it's been awhile. But figure I could show my son how to do that today. We can practice together.
So, I gotta say — Haunted Bookshop and I just haven’t clicked. Now, don’t get me wrong — I’m not saying it’s a bad blend, not at all. But somehow, it just didn’t do it for me. Gave it a couple of tries — maybe I didn’t get the cadence right the first time, maybe I didn’t dry it enough the second — but both bowls left me scratching my head. There’s definitely a personality there, just not one I seem to get along with. Might give it another go in a few months… once I’ve forgotten why we broke up in the first place.

I don't know I just fell in love with it, I really enjoy Riverboat Gambler too. Those two are my favorite and what I smoke the most often.
