To even ask or wonder if the moon landings were faked would have been incredibly risky.
The very least that would have happened is your mother would have slapped you so hard you’d see stars. Serious.
On the other hand, we’d debate for hours why some people believed in bullshit like the moon landings were faked.
I got my edition of the World Book Encyclopedia in the fall of 1962 when I was 4 1/2 years old. After that, if I contradicted or questioned one word there,,,,it was bad. Very bad.
