Back indoors for a bit, relaxing with a bowl of Ellipsis flake in a Bonfiglioli and a cup of coffee.

Hmmm . . . this one has escaped my eye. Don't remember seeing it before, and never seen a shorty quite like it. Looking at all that wood at the base, I'd imagine it smokes very well and quite cool, too. Like it!

Tonight I dug out a home blend I made maybe six or seven years ago. I took 50% Full Virginia Flake and 50% Latakia from one of the online tobacco retailers. Put them in wax paper, then between two chunks of wood and clamped them in the vice in the garage, as tightly as I could crank it, and left it for a few days. Ended up a black block of smoky goodness. It's still holding together in chunks, but easily rubbed out. Smoky, rich, oily, a true Lat bomb but smoothed out very nicely by the FVF. Refuses to bite, burns nicely, lots of smoke. I think I may have to make more when this jar is gone...
Sounds like a Pirate Kake with balls. Might just try that. puffy Like your method, too. That I can do!

It's barely 5" nose to tail. Not a nose-warmer, by any means, but a chunky block and cool smoker, yes, indeed!

Moving on to some Dreams of Kadath in a big ole Mastro de Paja blasted dublin.

Looking at that whole photo, I'd say you picked the perfect setting, time, beverage and pipe for a great smoke. Now, I don't know Pegasus, but I'd probably in that exact situation and pipe, smoke Magnum Opus. Close?
Magnum Opus. Mmmm never tried it, all I need is an excuse to shop for more tobacco, now I have it…thanks gord!

Afternoon Smoke: a Phillies Blunt Regular while catching up on the posts of the morning. Got back about an hour ago, after taking in midday Mass with my sister, and catching up on the family stuff after her harrowing (weatherwise) two week trip to Alberta.

She was happy to get back to PG and our Spring Weather slogan - "Don't like the weather in Prince George? Wait five minutes . . . " Yeah, that's really a PG moniker. Heard up here when I moved up just before Y2K and still hear it all over da place.

I'll save the rest (quite a bit of Skippable Drivel) for this evening's post. Cheers and enjoy Friday.
