Wow! What a memory! A pipe pal snapped the perfect selfie with the Pope coming out of an event in NYC. He was in the right place at the right time. RIPRIP. My youngest went to Italy for her honeymoon and had her wedding blessed by Pope Francis.

A friend of my father wrote to him telling him he would be in Rome for his 50th wedding anniversary and that he and his wife would like to meet him. They were received in a private audience.RIP. My youngest went to Italy for her honeymoon and had her wedding blessed by Pope Francis.

Disagreements in beliefs, political, social and so forth do not necessarily preclude mutual respect. Well, except for the close minded ideologues. They will brook no spoken or written dissent to their ideological beliefs. My tobacco shop was on Esmeralda. It was Bellagio back then and became Davidoff and now is Bellagio again I think. I was there before he renovated the basement and put in cigar lockers, and people like Grondona started showing up.
