Birthday calls for me tapping into my prized bottle of Highland Park 18, bought a few years ago. I will probably pair this with some HH Burley as to not overtake the flavor profile of the whisky. You guys are making me jealous with some of these beers I am seeing posted. I may need to the brewery down the road and get a can of something exotic as well. I'm not a big imbiber these days but do enjoy a good "Friday Night Pour".

Vegas Baby!!!
Starting the weekend with a Firestone Double Barrel Ale. It's a good American example of what's becoming increasingly hard to find - a traditional British pale ale. It's even partially fermented in oak casks in the Burton union tradition. Smooth and flavorful, not too hoppy.

If you go to the brewery you can get a growler of their raw unfiltered version. It’s very good.
