I have just checked to see if I had any response for a post I had put up this morning. I asked if anyone has tried Mr. B's tobacco and asked for feed back. I am thinking of trying some. I notice that teh post does not exist anymore
I have received no message indicating why?
Anyone have any thoughts? Who can I contact? This as a legitimate post and I am feeling a little pissed off!

    You mean this thread?? HERE

Thou shalt not question Mod actions, though that didn't happen here.

No no no no nononono no You haven't been around long enough to understand that we are by no means very mature here. Well, we can be, sometimes. But other times, we're like a bunch of 7th graders who just just found a nudie mag for the first time.

Seriously though, don't sweat it. Giving each other a hard time every so often is just all in good fun. We can be serious, but make shroom for a little fun too

Please don’t take any of this personally, no one is making fun of you, it just turned out that there was a fun twist to all of this. Just good old fashion mushroom jokes.

Now I want some Morels, those are the best tasting mushrooms, I love them with some butter and salt, could eat them for a main course. I used to love getting them fresh at the farmers market when I lived in Portland, OR.

My cap is off to you, pinhead.

Lol. See, there are just too many good ones to pass up.

pinhead, you have to calibrate to your mostly male social scene setting. If you've ever been in a mostly male club, the military, a sports team, etc., the hassle comes with the territory. Do your own banter, and don't sweat it. Anyone who takes the ragging seriously is going to feel insulted, but that ain't the way it's meant. Just riffing and venting competitive impulses. Some really funny stuff woven into the schlock. And then just lots of schlock. And apologies to women members who are genetically blessed with better social skills.

    Thin Skin Rules!

    A quick story:
20+ years ago, my wife and I found ourselves in Belgium on a self-guided beer tour. I had bought (and read) the British Beer critic Michael Jackson's guidebook to Belgium pubs, and on our first day, we proceeded to look for a good place for lunch. Following the guide, we came upon a restaurant with a good tap selection. The menu was covered in very nice illustrations of smiling mushrooms playing with each other in a field. We went in and after a somewhat odd conversation with the maitre d' ("are you sure this is where the guide sent you?") that we chalked up to the language barrier, we sat down and ordered burgers (with mushrooms) and beers. While we waited, I glanced around the bar, and noticed that we were the only hetero couple there, and that everyone else was glancing at me. I picked up the menu again, as a diversion, and looked a bit more closely at the illustrations. No, they weren't mushrooms, and something was squirting out from the tops of their heads. Ah, yes. Now it all made sense.

Either way, the burgers (with actual mushrooms) were quite good, especially when paired with a Cantillon Geueze and some nice Abbey cheeses.

Adults? Not quite, P.H. - think of this place as a kingdom or better yet an underground network of eukaryotic tobacco enthusiasts. Something churning the waste of the tobacco world. Some even seem to have psychedelic qualities.

If I still had an appetite, I don't think I could have ordered a mushroom burger at that point.

I believe the 1985 Chicago Bears put out a video "Super Bowl Truffle". The chorus went like this:

We are the Bears Trufflin' Crew
Trufflin' on down, doin' it for you.
We're so bad we know we're good.
Blowin' your mind like we knew we would.
You know we're just struttin' for fun
    Struttin' our stuff for everyone.
We're not here to start no trouble.
We're just here to do the Super Bowl Truffle.

Lol, holy crap, your mushroom story literally had me crying, Woodsroad. Reminded me of a time my parents booked a romantic weekend getaway at a bed and breakfast for their anniversary. Of course my stepfather booked the place and he thought it was called Steve & Michell’s B&B but when they got there thy quickly realized that he misread the website, it was actually Steve & Michael’s B&B but lucky for them they were hetero friendly. Makes for a great story too as my parents are some of the most old fashioned, conservative folks I know, it turns out they had a really good time. I’ll have to tell them about your experience, they’ll get a hoot and a holler out of that one. Lol.

Oh man, this is hands down one of the funniest threads I’ve read in a long time. I just scrolled down passed Woodsroad’s story to see some of the pictures. My daughter is sitting on my lap right now and she doesn’t understand why I can’t stop laughing and no, I won’t show her any of these adult mushroom/potato pictures... ahahaha! I’m crying over here. Jeez!

Pinhead- no one is belittling you or your research by making fungus puns or telling goofy stories. Remember, you began this thread with being publicly “pissed off” at a mistaken belief that your post was removed, for which you apologized. I personally would love to hear more about your mycological research regarding the curative properties of fungus. But this isn’t a lab, it’s a group of people, most of whom are pretty likable. It’s never going to be a controlled environment, free from the contamination of humor, however poor or quality.

‘Stalk’ing your own thread are you?

“Well, I can’t cure death. This is bad, Morty. You’re trapped in a dead man. Listen, if the situation keeps darkening, do yourself a favor and pop by Pirates of the Pancreas. Obviously I’m biased, but I think it’s great, Morty. It’s a bunch of *belches* pirates running around a *belches* pancreas. We don’t whitewash it, either, Morty. I mean, the pirates are really rapey.” - Rick & Morty

He could provide insight perhaps on our seemingly monthly thread: Is this mold on my tobacco?

Actually there’s a whole lot of funny in this thread!
Life’s too short to go through it without a sense of humor!
