I went on down to the local B&M, and this was the buzz. I'm going to start hoarding it immediately.

Amazingly it truly tastes like grape Nehi. And that is not a good thing.

I'm going to start hoarding it immediately.

I hope it can fool 100 people in a double blind test, then be able to buy it for $ 1.00/ounce in bulk.

They could use the old Funny Face Drink Mix names: Goofy Grape, Choo Choo Cherry, Jolly Olly Orange, Rootin' Tootin' Raspberry. Okay, I here the Seventies calling. Be back in a couple decades.

What, that is hard to believe.

In all reality grape flavored tobacco sounds horrible (to me), but I do believe that if you enjoy it then smoke it.

Seems to me CB Grape will replace for the Legendary Mixture 79 in our minds and hearts. The stuff is actually better than Middleton's Cherry Blend, so it has that going for it.

CB Grape might be good to pass around a pipe club, or at the local pipe shop, to give it a try. If you want it to be something it's not, I recently tried Sir Walter Raleigh Aromatic, which has some Virginia with the base of burley and a mild flavoring of (supposedly several) liqueres, and it is pleasant, very mild but with some tobacco flavor. If the grape flavoring is sufficiently light, it could be pleasant, though I would be skeptical there are any grapes involved.

I can't really imagine grape with tobacco, but I did throw raisins into my Tobacco Burger. When something seems outrageous I tend to be curious.

I'm not sure why grape is conceptually weirder than cherry, vanilla, peach or any other flavor used in tobacco. But it kind of is. I'd still try it, though.

is grape flavoring similar/compareable to raisins, as raisins are just dried grapes?
If so I can see this blend might be a good aro. I find 3P to have a very raisin-y scent and flavor and I like it. Well...now upscale the applied flavoring on "Captain Black brand" I can imagine this might be very strong flavored? I only tried CB white and I LOVE it! Not every day, not even every week - but by times a good bowl of goopy ol' CB white is my thing.

It is quite delicious... wonder what it is... some have suggested sherry.

Not really. This is more like grape candy or grape soda (soft drink).

It's a mistake on their part. Tobacco enriches the lives of millions, and keeps us from beheading those who annoy us.

I don't drink and haven't even smelled Sherrry, so it might be possible. But I don't find it alcoholic. I'm also unhappy with "raisin" as flavoring explanation, but it's the only word I have found for this heavenly scent.. Yet it's not perfectly matching imo.
Funny how other perceive it completly different somehow. Hard to tell really on 3Ps, but it's heavenly!

I smoked my first one over duration of 4 months (50g), i bought it at the beginning of my piper carreer and it was a tad too strong - also in flavor - to me back then. But my 2nd one which I bought just some weeks ago was the real revelation. It gives me a classy traditional feeling smoking this. The sartorially green tin with the smoking man.. the lovely brick laying inside it smelling like tobacco you'd imagine being smoked decades ago by noble men with classful wives...

    Yea... I love it.

    hillbillyjosh,
It has all sorts of baccies in it. Vanilla Cav, Oriental, Perique, also Deer Tongue, Allspice, Pepper, Raisin.

It has a totally Christmas Spice Cake note that can clear your sinuses. Oh, and had some molasses, which is why it is still wet, maple, and another flavor or two. When it was done I felt like frying it in bacon grease and dousing it with milk gravy.

Okay, I took one for the team, smoking a bowl in my very tiny MM

Smells like grape soda. Mind you, grape soda has nothing to do with grapes. However, it smelled almost nice. A new Lakeland if you crush some tulip petals and Dove Soap in it.

Mild, no bite. Grape obvious, but not overwhelming. The main thing about Drugstore Brands is if they say they taste like something, that taste is there... for good or bad. Exception being Middleton's Apple. Never could figure that one out. Many of the "modern blenders' blends" say they offer a taste, but I have to go on a search for it, possibly never finding it.
I would not be afraid to buy this blend again. It is mildly pleasant. What would keep me away is the price.

Is it the new Penzance? Maybe not. But when I get up to the post count of hillbillyjosh y'all will be happy to pay my price for my vintage grape.
