When I used to drink Cider and black it was with creme de cassis. (London Pubs) then as far as I was told they weren't allowed to do that anymore and replaced it with cordial. We all felt very hard done by as that was the whole reason we drank it, a shot of liqueur was a good way to "fortify" the cider!!
You want to move out of the smoke mate!
Here in the shire, our ciders don’t need ‘fortifying’. Proper job!👍

Oldest friend just got married and is moving in a few weeks. To celebrate the occasion, and lighten the load of his luggage: Impromptu cocktails at the after party.

Right now I'm drinking:
0.5 oz red vermouth
0.5 oz Italicus liqueur
1.5 oz Linie Aquavit
Fistful of ice, dash of Angostura and simple syrup
Filled with soda water.

It tastes a lot like a seltzer water version of Moxie, which is fine by me!
