A wee order from McCranie's came in today.

4 tins of Red Ribbon, the new 2008 crop (I still have 5 tins of the 1996,not including the one I am smoking, and 9 tins of the 2000 - enough so that I only pop tins that are at least 5 years old.)

8 ounces of Highland Mixture, a delightful medium Balkan that I found in the box pass, courtesy of Rickpal. It's a wonderful 1st pipe of the day.

I'm finally able to smoke freely now, whereas before I was quite limited due to financial restraints. I think I'm good for awhile but I'm going to transfer funds to my paypal account while the dollars are at a good exchange rate so I can do another order maybe around the end of the year.

I'm in pipe heaven right now.

Please comment on my upcoming TAD. I'll be ordering from P&C. I'm trying to round it out with something with a significant amount of burley, since I think I already have VAs and aromatics covered. I mainly smoke VA and VA forward blends, but I like to mix it up with some mild aromatics, burleys, and English blends on occasion.

If you want big burley go with C&D Canal Boat.

My burley recommends would be MacBaren Golden Extra and Burley London Blend.
In bulk, P&C H&H Angler's Dream is an excellent 'every day' burley blend. I was very pleasantly surprised by this and find it vastly superior to the PG coated OTCs.
