I just listened to the entire album again: wow, what a stinker. Gilmour should be ashamed to have released this grab for cash. It sounds like a bad Gilmour album (unlike On An Island).
The wife had already purchased this for me as a Christmas gift when I told her to halt (after hearing the album). From the documents enclosed (all very nice, booklet, post cards, etc.) it looks like this was the Gilmour show without much input from Waters. Maybe it will be more appealing to me 10 years down the road....

Having now listened to "The Endless River" I must agree, this album is disappointing. Perhaps the band had a contractual obligation to fulfill with their record company, and that was the reason for using leftovers?
In any event, I have retitled it "The Mindless River;" many, many notes, but little music to my ears.
Too many notes!
