Weird to see an old post of mine appearing in a necrobump. As you work your way through the micromesh pads, make sure that you vary the direction of the sanding to avoid creating patterns in the surface. Also, I find that wet sanding the last few polishing grades gives a slightly higher gloss. I don't use oil, I use either Paragon or Halcyon wax as a finish and sealant.
