Several Forums members have mentioned microfiber as a good way to spruce up Vulcanite stems, and
suggested what I assume are several rather fine grade microfibers as the right ones. Clutter being one
of my vices, I'd like to get a really modest selection of, say, three of the appropriate grade microfibers
in appropriate small sizes. I only have four or five pipes in need of immediate attention. Some of these
are thirty plus years old, bought new and used carefully, but they need the stems brightened up a bit from
a little gray-green discoloration that has set in over the years. They don't look bad, but I owe them a
spiffing up. Where (what sort of store) would have a small selection of the right fine grade microfibers for
this extra small job? Any specific brands to look for? Retailers to suggest? I hate to send my old friends off
to a pipe repairman when I can do this here.
