Ok, I admit it. I am engaged in criminal activity, according to the state of Wisconsin, and don't feel bad about it in the least.
Despite the laws prohibiting smoking in hotel rooms I am enjoying a wonderful bowl of Old Dublin in an old Dublin. I have the window open and the ventilation system running, as well as a towel at the base of the door (as per the instructions of the desk clerk).
I suppose my photo will be on Post Office walls in the very near future. I'll have to change my name and shave my beard. Plastic surgury may even be needed in order to hide from the tobacco police. I may even have to resort to wearing tennis shoes to complete my disguise.
They'll never take me alive!

I refuse to comment on the grounds it may incriminate myself.

Good Luck..I hope you don't hear a loud knock on the door..It's not at all like a western hero to die with your tennis shoes on..What would John Wayne think?

Smoking a Pipe Right Now

On the way home from The Hard Rock Casino just now I sped. I followed too closely. I ran a stop sign. I almost hit a Chevy. I sped some more. I failed to yield at a crosswalk. I changed lanes at the intersection. I changed lanes without signaling while running a red light and sped some more ... but that's normal in Florida.
I smoked in the casino too, but you're allowed to do that.
At several pipe shows, they run out of, or don't have smoking rooms, and someone I know that shall remain nameless just smokes and invites tons of people in to smoke and then just pays the fine. Actually, it's a company that has the budget to afford it.

I'm just curious....the desk clerk told you to place towels at the bottom of the door? So he knowingly aided in your criminal activity. So, for the desk clerk it appears we have at least one count of conspiracy, one count of harboring, in additional to your unlawful smoking, which you did knowingly in violation of the law. The fine for which is at least $100 but not more than $250.
Good job. These laws get more stupid everyday.

LOL thanks guys. I think I'll have to skip that whole backward hat thing though.
I was saw a young guy in Florida wearing his cap backward and using his hand to shade his eyes from the sun. I laughed like crazy and told him if he turned the hat around the right way he wouldn't have to do that.
