This was one of 5 pipes I picked up off cragslist a while back. When I saw it in person I figured, "Well, 4 out of 5 ain't bad". I let it sit as a display piece in my collection while I gravitated to my larger-bowled pipes. Available time for smoking has diminished as life has become busier, bringing me back to this initially overlooked, miniscule meer. It's a perfect 20 - 30 minute smoke, good for the ride in to work or while I'm out grilling dinner.

I have a Tsuge Blowfish. Haven't actually smoked it that often, as I generally prefer longer smokes than it allows for. I'm also leery of scorching the top of the bowl, which is depressingly easy to do. I've got a cruise coming up, so I may pack it along since this particular ship supposedly allows smoking in the casino area (no cigar lounge - that's on the next cruise in September... :D). I'll be able to use matches correctly and perhaps finish breaking the little guy in properly.

Very large hands make it quite the problem to own small pipes :D I suppose my John Bessai Poker is a bit smaller than my other pipes in proportion! But the bowl is quite generous for the size, and it's a WONDERFUL smoker! :puffy:

I've been gravitating to smaller pipes, probably due to my short attention span. ;)
What got me started on Gp1-2s was attending pipe shows and clubs, when I love to sample 6 to 8 blends. My tongue wouldn't survive that many bowls if they were large.

Here's a little Pete Prevost Volcano With a Bruce Weaver Blast that I picked up yesterday:
eksmbN8.png

It's only 4.5 inches long...one of the smallest volcano's I've ever seen. I just put up a few more pictures of this pipe in the "Pipe Talk" section.
I can't wait for this little guy to arrive in a week or two. I hope it makes it across the pond safely!

I don't have a picture of it, but I have a tiny little Ropp sandblasted vintage Rhodesian that I just picked up. I was a bit surprised at its size when I opened the package to be honest. My daughter's response was "it looks like they forgot to make half of it."
It's like a 'pipe seed' that you could maybe plant and end up with a full grown pipe someday. Anyway, it's a good looker and a good smoker.

Have a Cobbit Dwarf. Just right when I don't have a lot of time. When I first got it my smoking buddy made fun of it, but now he has one!

I enjoy smoking my smaller pipes.

I have a MM Mizzou and a Yello-bole premier that I enjoy on short walks.

Yeah I couldn't resist this. I have a few small pipes but the smallest is this odd little meerschaum by Olie Sylvester that I got from a forum member last year. (thanks quincy) It's quite small, maybe group 1 bowl but I like it for stronger tobaccos. I also made a creepy tamper from a 410 shotshell to go with it.

I did own a couple of diminutive Brebbias that I donated to the Free Pipe Project, and rather regretted doing so--they came in handy from time to time. Guess I'll have to rectify that problem and buy a couple of more--thanks guys!

I'm so jealous, I love small pipes! I'd actually love to commission a small poker one day...

Compared to the pics I see here my pipe is HUGE!! 8O
I do have a couple wee Bruyere St Claude pipes and a Ropp horn stem bulldog that is also small. They don't see a whole lot of action but they smoke nice when I do use them. They're great or a quick little smoke. :puffy:

My Bruyere St. Claude Extra billiard is my smallest. Good for long-burning flakes, but that's about all I use it for. Extra must mean something other than "extra large", because it is anything but that.

As I am not in to marathon smoking sessions, I prefer small-bowled pipes (~30-35mm deep X 15-20mm dia chambers) but not short-stemmed pipes. Idgaf what the physics majors say, empirically a short-stemmed pipe smokes hotter than a longer-stemmed one.
