G'day everyone.
Starting in 2018 a German e-bay seller had NOS from a recently closed 100+yo German tobacconist.
He had some really cool pipes. I bought way more than I need. Many I use for display but have a few antiques in my pipe rotation.
The ones that I've lit up are all excellent smokers.

Many were no name Bruyere Garantie made specifically for the shop.
One thing I know about Germans, they wont accept shoddy products that don't do their intended task.

Here's a few different ones. I'll post a couple of new ones each day if anyones interested.
[I don't know how to upload pics from phone so all pics are the sellers]

This one is a favourite.
A 1960s French Bent Skippy Paneled Bulldog.

LOVE that bulldog with the horn stem!...
The horn stems look great.

I've been told that the odd one can crack if there's a hidden flaw in the natural grain of the stem if clenched too hard. [Maybe that's why they moved to using plastic stems?]
I don't clench my pipes [except for my cobs with a rubber bit] so I haven't had any problem.

Those are awesome! I love the shapes, especially those last 2 Skippy pipes.
The couple that are in my rotation are very good smokers.
Being 60yo the briar has had the chance to really dry out, lol.

Here's another that I really like. The panels aren't perfectly aligned but to me that just adds to the charm.

French 1960s Skippy Bruyere Garantie Prince Diamond Bulldog.

@chopper
Leave some for the rest of us! Very nice collection.
Thanks Mike.
When Marcus was selling on ebay I was rather new to the internet & treated the auctions a bit like a game. I bought way more than I actually need.
It wasn't until after I'd already bought quite a few that I thought to save the pics of the pipes I've won.

The only pipes that I've bought since he set-up a website, are two Venini's. He's still got heaps of the antique NOS looking at his pipes for sale.
The funny thing is that the asking price is often less than the winning bids when he sold on ebay.

www.markenpipes.com Great people to deal with. Highly recommend.
Tell them Paul from Oz sent ya.

That's a beautiful pipe - looks quite dunhillish to me.
Thanks Julius, it's one of my favourites.
I'll never be able to afford a Dunhill & I do see the similarities also.

The top pic of the paneled bent Skippy Bulldog reminded me of a Dunhill that I saw on ebay so much that I've referred to it since as my 'poor mans Dunhill', lol.

I don't need any more pipes. Having said that I occasionally throw out a low-ball bid on something that in interests me. I have scored about a half-dozen that way
