    PSA: Check Your Tins Folks!

I agree Sable. 2oz C&D and McClelland tins are the safest to cellar due to the fact that they don’t have that soldier joint like the 100 gr and larger tins

    A trip to New Orleans

What he said. It’s not too far from downtown New Orleans and a nice shop!

    PSA: Check Your Tins Folks!

I agree. As far as the paint cans go they seem to rust from the inside because they are not coated like the C&D tins. So even if the seal remains good they will start to rust from the inside. This also goes for the Rattrays 100gr tins.

    Kajun Kake - C&D Classic

I love KK. You must age it in my opinion, smoked through a 10 yr old tin that was sublime!

    Maximum cellaring time.

I like my aged tobacco over the fresh stuff almost every time. The Virginias always develop a darker sweeter taste. To me Burleys don’t ever change. I had a tin of the original release of Gaslight and it was the best Latakia blend that I’ve ever smoked.

    Eltang Basic- Question

You sure that’s what it is Oz? I feel like it’s coming from the outside of the pipe but I could be wrong

    Eltang Basic- Question

It’s a briar pipe. I’ve been pipe smoking for over a decade. Just wandering if any of you ever get that chemical polish smell when breaking in a new pipe?

    Eltang Basic- Question

I just bought an Eltang basic and have smoked it a couple times. The problem is it’s letting off this strong smell that isn’t pleasing. Assuming it’s the finish burning off on the outside. You guys think this very unpleasant smell will go away if I keep smoking it?

Mold in Cornell & Diehl Steamworks

it just sucks knowing the mold spores could be there and under the right conditions the mold will develop.

    What Does Mold Smell Like?

You’ll be fine. But just throw the tin away geez it’s only $12, why would you want to smoke questionable tobacco? Ditch it

HH Vintage Syrian - Smoke, Cellar, or sell?

    Show Us Your Cellar

The Briar Fox has aged great. Hasn’t changed too much, but it has changed for the better. A fresh tin of Briar Fox will have a some rough edges but with age they are gone and it is very smooth.
