    Bowl hole.

Well Jaytex, it does seem like when I have a couple of drinks the drilling doesn’t seem as bad.

    Bowl hole.

Warren - you're right about purchasing a pipe you might be suspicious about. But I bought a pipe sight unseen (I did see photos) by a manufacture that claims they don't put their name on or sell substandard pipes. The pipe is at least 24 years old (but unsmoked) so maybe the maker has improved...

    Bowl hole.

Warren - not sure if I agree with the statement “you want the hole where the manufacture believes it should be, not where the smoker thinks it should be”. Manufactures screw up sometimes. That’s why some of them sell pipes that are seconds. I think pipe buyers and smokers expect certain...

    Bowl hole.

Never considered that about the hole being off center helping to reduce the tobacco getting wet. I have a high end Canadian ($400) that is a wee bit off center and smokes the bowl down evenly all the way down. But just bought a Canadian from another pipe maker and it has an offset hole as well...

    Bowl hole.

How important is it to you to have the hole in the shank drilled center to the bottom of the bowl as apposed to the hole being off center? And how much do you think affects the smoking of the pipe?

    My Morta Conundrum

I have 6 mortas and all are great smokers. A couple of them are from Croatia and are a little larger with thicker bowls but they smoke really well.

    Ardor Erro pipe

Does anyone have any info on the Ardor Erro line of pipes. I got a pipe last week that has Ardor, Erro, Italy, 504 and the number 28 in an oval. Its a tan sandblast, Canadian shape, unsmoked and originally purchased in 1995. I've done some digging on the internet but can't find anything on Ardor...

    Ardor Pipe

One thing I've read is that Ardor wouldn't put their name on any pipe that was substandard.

    Ardor Pipe

I’ve been to the Ardor web site but they don’t mention the Erro line. They mention other lines that are available today. They also mention the “DR” stamping on the pipes. My Erro doesn’t have it. It’s a pre-1999 pipe which is the year Angelo (Angelo (father) and Dorelio (son) started the Ardor...

    Ardor Pipe

I'm looking for some info on an Ardor pipe I recently bought. Its a tan rusticated Canadian shape made originally sold in 1995. It's unsmoked. The stamping is Ardor, Erro, 504 (I believe is the shape) and 28 in an oval. I have tried to find something about the Erro line but can't find anything...
