There may be some distortion of the time due to the way that I edited the video, but for a sandblasted pipe, less time is spent on the bowl shaping and finishing than for a smooth one. Thanks for checking it out, all. :) Yes, the mouthpiece takes a very long time to make. Machining it on the lathe is the fastest part, and then it's almost all filing and sanding to make it just right.- jalanpipes

Is J.H. Lowe briar a decent product?
Tim's a great guy and his wood is perfect for hobbyists. I bought some of my first blocks of briar from him. Adding to that, he spent hours on the phone with me helping me out before I knew the first thing about making pipes. +1 for Tim- jalanpipes
